I ordered two 6 wings and a 4wing . On Saturday... Today is Tuesday March 19 2024 ... My whole house is throwing up with food poisoning or salmonella... 4 straight days ... I will never eat here again.. i almost called the health department... If you read the reviews like I normally do.. you will see that they have a sanitation problem and a problem refrying old chicken.. or spoiled chicken... The bones are black and broken... In all the wings ... I say run .. back home and cook your own food .. they don't care about the customers health.. just your money .. I will never return... And I might still call the health department to do an investigation.

When I went into this business, Harold’s Chicken on 91st Ashland in Chicago and the first thing I noticed was a sign that read, No Refunds. I ordered 6 wings and a large gizzard with mild sauce. When I got my order, I had wings a little bit bigger than the size of wings on a Cornish Hen. The bag was so light. The large gizzards had 6 pieces And it wasn’t even fresh. This Harold’s is the highest priced in the city I don’t mind spending money on quality food and the food quality is beyond subpar. I would not recommend this establishment. Not worth it at all. I support great establishments, but this wasn’t one of them. Maybe management need to re-establish and turn it around. If not, no one will support this business.

Harold’s is always the first place i go when i land in the Chi. This past week was no different. My best friend picked me up from the airport and already knew what it was, lol. This particular Harold’s was recommended. I stopped in around 8:30 or so and i gave my spill abt how it’s a tradition each time i come Chicago, Harold’s it’s always the first stop. The lady at the register took my order and asked where i was visiting from. I got wings and a pizza puff with mild and hot sauce, salt/pepper, and ketchup. She recommended i add Lemon Pepper, i obliged. After abt 10 minutes, i got my fresh food with a free bottle of mild sauce. Once i made it to the crib the food was gone in abt 7 mins. Food and customer service 10 out of 10 would highly recommend… I’ll definitely be back.

I ordered a 1/2 White ( 2 breasts and 2 wings + fries), and 2 1/2 dark ( 2 thighs and 2 legs + fries)mealsThe chicken was either just not cooked fresh, or cooked in old oil, because it looked old and dry and it somehow tasted both dry and greasy simultaneously, and wasn't crispy at all or fresh or hot... The crust was just so disappointing , with that hard layer on top of the chicken underneath the crust...And, the fries were definitely not fresh or tasty, they were hard on the tips, and soggy.. Even with the sauce, this meal was just awful.....I just feel that for nearly 14 dollars, for 4 pieces of chicken, that the quality control should be much better, such a waste of hard earned money...just disappointed.....

Purchased 4 wi gs dinner and when I tell you they were the worst ever,the wings were the size of a baby chi k.I always get disappointed when supporting the neighborhood business and that's really sad.

Probably the worst customer service. Never answer the phones. Chicken doesn't have that official Harold's taste. The mild sauce is EXTREMELY watered down. I hate to leave reviews like this, but I hate that businesses invade our communities and offer poor quality and quantity, while charging 5 STAR prices. First and Last time going there !!
