It’s never super busy here when I do pop in but for some reason the service is always not pleasant. Staff were NOT approachable nor friendly from the hostess the bartender to our server everyone (staff) in the back laughing having a good time. It was NOT busy and we waited and I was never acknowledged when sitting down as I joined a few minutes after my guest.I waited a few minutes as I joined after but 10-20 minutes passed and our server kept walking by but never saying anything. Mt guest told me no one really acknowledged him just said what will you be drinking and brought out his drink. He was visiting from Savannah,Ga and wanted some jerk chicken so we decided to go here and I was very embarrassed. VERYThe hostess got upset when I tried to get her attention to get our server because no one was paying attention to us as we sat there. So my guest paid for his drink at the bar key word at the bar bc our server wasn’t coming to our table and we left.. and went to 14 parish just up the street and the atmosphere was SO DIFFERENT!!!! It was AMAZING!!

New Ownership too over ...and I use that Phrase loosely. Took the authentic Jamaican feel away. This place has went down the drain very quick. Servers and bartender were great food and everything else was horrible. Save your money and go to a real Jamaican Restaurant .

So they have vegan/vegetarian options. One option is the seitan, which is great. The only problem it comes with cabbage and red beans and rice both made with butter so I'm unable to eat that. So they will not allow you to change the sides. But here's the kicker they have the ital stew which is a vegan option. You'd think they would just let the vegans change to the vegan options for side but noooooooo, we can't do that sir. You can buy the ital stew, ok no problem but guess what comes with the ital stew ? You guessed it the rice beans and cabbage which has the butter in them. Bruh who's in charge here ? It's simple keep your two sides the rice beans and cabbage and let the vegans trade for the one side of the ital stew, instead of me having to purchase 2 different meals. I don't want 2 orders of cabbage and red beans and rice that I can't eat

Just picked up our dinners $40.00 for 2 food was awful rice and beans dry and hard,chicken pieces were cold and lukewarm cabbage barely room temp plaintain soft mushy unrecognizable..would give minus if I could ??

Don't know why this place doesn't have 5 stars all across. The food is bussin and the service is super attentive and quick. we got a bunch of sides and apps to try a little bit of everything and it was all spiced to perfection. Def spicy if you're a Wisconsin raised bb but luckily being from LA I was DYING for good food. This place did not disappoint. Will return!!

Good authentic cuisine! If they tell you something is "not that hot" get the mild. The veggie party was super fresh & really good. The service is swift and it's a nice quaint spot to enjoy good food. It's cooked just right & I take people all the time when I'm in the city.

This place was super nice! First time ever ordering since I don't live in the city. The ambience is nice. The only issue is the construction. It was hard to see the restaurant but I was able to find it, it was a bit from there. The waitress in the front was super nice and gave amazing customer service. She found my order within the quickness. The food was amazing. My only draw back was the chicken for me wasn't as tender as I thought it was going to be. Maybe due to the fact it was drums and not thighs. But everything was delicious. The rice has a savory but sweet taste to it and the cabbage was seasoned nicely. Not to heavily with spices because again you have the rice and beans with the stew chicken spices. Overall, I'd come back again. Next time, I'll get the oxtails. Also that Rum Punch!!!! Baby.... A hit! One good sip and it's lights out. Lol. I'll be back for that as well.
