Ordered Kuma San for takeout last night. Picked up the sushi and when I got home I was very disappointed with the nigiri. The tuna nigiri looked extremely suspicious and old, I did not take my chance eating it. Super unfortunate. The sushi rolls were ok.

Really cute decor. Lovely staff. I love the set up. The tables are ground level which I’m assuming it’s to give a traditional Japanese feel. I am giving the food a 4 star only because I didn’t order food, I got the matcha cheese cake. I’m not a fan of the cheese cake but the food might be good. I can barely taste the matcha. It hardly has flavor throughout the entire cake. It tastes almost like regular cheesecake. $6 seems too high for some plain cheese cake.

Ordered online for pickup, hours clearly displayed through maps. I paid for the food with a card, order instructions were that the order would be ready for pickup at 6:22 pm. Went to pickup order and they were completely closed. Called, no answer, checked address, in the right place. No food, no answer, and they charged my card. Not sure where the mess up was but will not return.

This is one of my new favorite neighborhood restaurants! The selection is great, everything I've had there is delicious, and the service and atmosphere are wonderful. Highly recommended!

I ordered takeout from here because I wanted veggie rolls, and many restaurants around me do not have a variety of veggie options. The sweet potato and normal veggie rolls here were delicious, and they came in really cute packaging!!

Super cute restaurant with claw machines by the entrance. Everything was clean and the food came out pretty fast. The prices for what you get is also very reasonable. Loved all the One Piece references. Will definitely be going back soon!

Food was great overall and they have a wide variety of sushi. The crunchy salmon roll in particular was phenomenal. I wasn't a fan of the ambiance as it felt a little cheap but I would go back.

Ordered carry-out and was extremely disappointed. Fish was old & I could not stomach it. I always order nigiri when trying a new sushi spot, because that’s the true test on whether it’s good, and unfortunately it was not. Confused by all the positive reviews here. Was it that I ordered on a wednesday night & they didn’t get a new shipment of fish? Regardless, a customer should not taste the fishiness of the fish when they order nigiri. Will not be ordering here again.

Generous portions, some of the freshest tasting fish I’ve had in Chicago, spicy salmon roll actually had some spice for once, and friendly staff. Fried tofu was also really solid. Will definitely be back!

Yesterday myself, mom, and younger sister were excited to try this spot even as far as going through the rain to get there, when we got in we were told by the staff that we were told tables were only for two. We asked if we could put a third one so we could sit together. We even tried asking if we could sit at the bar and they said no to all these requests and left us standing for a long period of time. The staff were not accommodating and lacked any shred of decency in customer service of that of a Japanese restaurant or any restaurant. Ultimately we left and will not give business to a place that is racist and discriminates customers. Would give zero for every star.

Very good food and nice service. They had some of the best miso soup I've ever had. It was light but extremely satisfying. The whole meal was satisfying and refreshing. The restaurant itself was simple and cozy. I loved the Polaroids on the wall.

Loved everything about this restaurant. It was my first time having sushi but the food was great and put a smile on my face. Couldn't recommend any higher.
