The staff at Lula Cafe was incredibly accommodating to our almost 2-year-old toddler. After we met the owner, another server came over and even addressed our son by his first name! It was such a small but thoughtful touch. In addition, the owner knew we were traveling home the next day so she took the liberty to make our last dish a little smaller so we didn't have leftovers that would go to waste. I was just blown away by the attention to details and hospitality. As a huge bonus, the food and cocktails were incredible! Will definitely go back when we find ourselves in Chicago again.

Me and my husband went to this restaurant twice for dinner in the past 2 months, and both times we had an amazing experience. We ordered completely different foods and enjoyed all of the items. This restaurant's whole vibe is "sweet and savory/salty food with great veggie-based flavoring", and almost every dish from appetizer to dessert nails this; just look at all these food pictures! My favorites were the two pasta dishes (pasta yiayia which was sweet VS spaghetti which was spicy), the onion focaccia with French onion soup, the pork secreto and the mango lassi ice cream. They had great service and even gave me a customized menu for me to take home for my birthday celebration.Just reserve a few days in advance, and you will have an awesome dinner with quite the reasonable price tag (85 per person for a lot of food). Would highly recommend.

Great tasting food, I like the sourdough French toast, not too sweet, a bit dry, but good. The French omelet comes with a good tasting salad, i also like the nice ambiance and decoration. The staff is friendly and didn't get information from the server, but she did come and check a couple of times. The wait is long on those busy days and no other way to check in on mobile app but the is a book store near by to check it out while waiting for the text to let you know the table is ready, they give you ten minutes to arrive after the text. The bar is first come, first serve. It was with the wait. In the summer, they do offer outdoor seating. Their menu is short and good. It is a bit loud since the noise travels well. Feel free to take a walk at the park and monument nearby. On Sundays in the summer, there is a farmers market. Service is included at 20 and fell free to leave more.Paid parking in front and around, I'll come again.

Overhyped like every other breakfast spot in Chicago that isnt a diner. Waited 40 min to get a text that a table was ready only to wait another 13 minutes once we were there. When we sat down we were given 2 menus with 2 different prices on them. One old menu apparently and one new one. How does this even happen?Food was meh. $6 breakfast potatoes were burnt pieces, not even whole squares. The Royale sandwich tasted odd. Not the best pork. The french omelette was decent.Automatic 20% tip added to the bill is ridiculous!$82 bill and paying with a $100 and being asked if I needed change back from the waitress...was even more ridiculous!!!!

Went here for Burnch on a Sunday. It is first come first serve so had to wait a little over an hour. Roamed a bit around the neighborhood as every area of the city has its own charm.Plenty of street parking or can always park in the near by garage.Ordered the classic lulu breakfast burrito, chickpea and fennel tagine and a smoked trout scramble. I would say the Chickpea and fennel tagine was awesome and a must on every visit.Parking: Parking spots near by and then paid garage couple of blocks awayKid-friendliness: Yes great with kids

Excellent experience. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere was fun and inviting. Music was great, the bar was cool, this place is a whole vibe. Little pricy, $70 for lunch for 2 people. They put a surcharge on every check, FYI. I'm fine with that, but it was not made clear to us ever in our visit. Only when we received the check was there a little note about it. There should be a sign or something at the hostess podium.

Amazing fresh creative food, lovely atmosphere, kind and attentive staff. We had a lovely birthday dinner and the birthday surprises they provided (I won't spoil the surprise) were such a wonderful touch. I can't wait to come back again!
