AMAZING food and wonderful people!! Maidi and Lavy took the best care of us from start to finish. Sad we live out of town and can't come back often.

I catered from Maharaj and I just wanted to say the food was absolutely exceptional! The aloo tikki especially was a crowd favorite, but it all tasted great (I got the palak dal, gobi mutter, and paneer mahkani). They were excellent with the preparation, the quality, and the timeliness, all for a reasonable price of ~$20 per person.

Maida made this experience so great! The chicken dish she recommended was delicious and the service was so friendly and quick. 10/10 no notes!

Loved this place! Decent decor, excellent service by Noha and delicious food! We started with their complimentary papad and chutneys. We ordered Maharaj mixed grill and Sarson ka saag with roti and paratha. The servings were huge! We got enough food to feed about four people! Chicken kabab and tandoori chicken was served on a sizzling platter and was flavorful and tender. Saag, daal and tikka masala were tasty as well. Gulabjamuns were a perfect sweet ending! Over all, we enjoyed our dinner at this nice place. Do visit if you are in the area.

The best dining experience I've had at an Indian restaurant by far. I visited with family to try the lunch menu and was pleasantly surprised by the great prices and generous amount of food we received! The atmosphere was fun and colorful, and the place was quite busy for a Thursday afternoon. The service was quick and the food was great. I ordered the Kadhai Paneer-spicy. It was definitely spicy, but I'm glad I ordered that spice level because the jump from medium to spicy is quite a difference! My dad got the Chicken Tikka Masala, which was buttery, warm, and creamy. My boyfriend ordered the Tandoori Chicken, which came out steamy and hot. He loved it! The dishes came with plenty of warm naan and Dal which was also great. Overall we had a great time and will definitely be back.

Upon entering the restaurant, I encountered a lively atmosphere, far more than any other restaurant at this location! I read very positive reviews and I was looking very forward to trying selections. I was feeling very weak that morning. As soon as my much break came, I went to place an order. I really wanted to order in advance, but I did not see an online option to do so, just a phone number. I didn't have an opportunity to call, so I decided to go in person to review the menu and went in and i ordered the lunch special that included the Butter Chicken and the fabulous soup/meal, with naan. I requested a spicy level of preparation. It took about 5-7 minutes to have my order taken, but I understood why, based on the aforementioned very lively and busy atmosphere, and I receive my order in a very reasonable about of time, about 15 minutes. I enjoyed the spirited cultural music and bustling atmosphere while I waited. So...The meal was DELICIOUS! Indian food is one of my favorite cuisines, and they are right at the top of the list, in terms of authenticity and wonderful dish selection/variety. It was just spicy and flavorful enough to kick me into gear. The portions were decent as well. I was so inspired by feeling so much better, I went back in after work to tell them, but I definitely wanted to put this in writing, to let others know. I am looking forward to visiting again!

Can get a bit packed on a weekend night as it's one of a handful of viable Indian options downtown. We were quoted about 15-20 minutes wait time but they didn't let us stand in the vestibule outside and corralled us into a corner of the front to wait.Chicken vindaloo was good - not as spiced as I would have liked (I ordered it hot) but good flavor nonetheless. Service charge is applied automatically for groups of 6 or more, but the bill then includes additional tip suggestions from 15-20% which could trip up a less scrupulous person

Sooo, good. If I could give ten stars I would. The food was absolutely delicious, and great portions as well. Our waitress was very sweet and funny as well. She made us laugh multiple times. Inside is very trendy and cool looking. They have very unique seating options I have never seen before. I love this place and I'm so glad we visited while in Chicago.

My boyfriend & I constantly order from here! We love their food! Quality and portion has always been consistent. We have sat down and ate in the restaurant once and the service was good as well. My boyfriend always gets the chicken tikka masala and I get the paneer makhani. Of course we eat it with the garlic naan and it is delicious!! I've had the mango laasi from here a few times too and I'd recommend! Maharaj is our go-to Indian food spot

The ambiance was very inviting and beautiful! We were seated right away and our server greeted us warmly. She recommended a white wine pairing with my shrimp biryani, which was an excellent choice! My husband's chicken tikka was the richest I'd ever tasted! We will definitely be back!
