I first came across this place through instagram. When i tell you the food looked so good i just knew i had to try it. After getting, im not sure if im disappointed or if i just had really high hopes. Don’t get me wrong it’s good, however I’ve definitely had much better birria. Maybe i have to eat it fresh and not have to warm it up, but i just thought id would be better. The texture of the tortilla after warming wasn’t good. Like it was hard and falling apart. I’m also not sure if this is supposed to be Puerto Rican rice, but as a Puerto Rican, i just don’t taste the love in the food like I’m used to. I would definitely give the place another try, as i said maybe it has a better taste when you don’t have to warm it up. I would also try out other items. Over all from what I’m tasting today, i would give it a 5/10.

I ordered online and did curbside pickup. My order was ready about 3-4 mins after I arrived and the person who gave me the food was polite. However, the food was not good at all. I went through reviews and ahead of time and not sure if they were having an off day but the Birria jerk chicken tacos were not good at all. Tasted canned or older from previous day. Usually the Birria is dipped in the consume but they were dry on the outside. The consume also wasn’t tasty. I couldn’t even finish eating it. The rice was great, seasoned and cooked perfectly.

Went to experience Mimi's as fries are my favorite and who doesn't enjoy good tacos. My family and I ordered Birria tacos, loaded Jerk fries, sautéed broccoli and the house made Italian ice. The food was 8/10, I have had the pleasure of tasting other fusion Jerk type tacos in past this was sweet with slight heat and super enjoyable. My only complaint is if I'm going to a place that has Fries in name, I'd like to think fries should be handmade and a star standing alone I don't think that is the case here. The broccoli though was insane with garlic butter, I'd go back just for them tbh.

Mimi’s Tacos is a straight HIT! I’ve been several times and today I had a burger that changed the game. Highly recommend trying them. Also ask for a sample of the Italian ice. Surprised me with that one.
