This place is too loud and also the bartender who is apparently the owner of the establishment was very rude and disrespectful to me the entire time. I do not recommend this place unless you want to waste money on funding a financially insecure boss that makes his money by flirting with woman but disregarding men’s feelings. This place is not a quiet environment and also is completely grosss and do not recommend for anyone that is looking for a chill bar.

I can't believe I'm writing a bad review about Murphys. This was always my neighborhood bar but ever since the blondes took over it went drastically downhill. They are horrendous. They'll skip your song for no reason or just make you feel like straight up garbage. The blonde female will karaoke to Disney to make herself seem relatable but she's the devil. Same as the blonde boy who will skip anything he doesn't like. Save your time and money by going here. The bartenders are god awful. They are ruining the Murphys legacy.

So much potential as the decor and location are great, but staff really not very attentive to new customers, and definitely don't want to come out from behind the bar to work the tables. If the owner is good with the current business, and staff good with mediocre tips, that's fine..

This place is beyond great. The vibe of the overall bar is just so prefect. Makes you feel right at home. The bar tenders were beyond kind. Overall vibe was great for a nice fun night out. The free popcorn sold me.

An eclectic no-frills dive bar on Broadway. Free popcorn and reasonably priced drinks.

We went on a Wednesday night and enjoyed the live music. They don’t have food but the hotdog place downstairs has a guy that walks around the bar, takes your order, and bring the food to you. The bartender was a very friendly lady and suggested what to order from the hotdogs-place menu. They also have darts and a patio on the backside. Free popcorns as well. I had a Pilsner and it was nice.Parking: I parked in the Marianos parking garage.

It's a proper dive bar. Can't go wrong.

A great dive bar in Lakeview. Darts, DIY music "jukebox", great kitschy decor, plus the beloved popcorn machine!!!! They do have outdoor space in the front and in the back.

First time being there. Never again. Rude bartenders, who stiff you on drinks but expect a 20% tip. Bartenders are getting drunk with customers, not paying attention to the other people who are not their friends who would like a drink. Even though they’re drunk, they are still snippy with you. The crowd is your typical preppy young college crowd. Loud and don’t respect your personal space.
