Easily the best tasting ramen in Northside Chicago. I tried many places and this is my favorite. I come at least once a week for their outstanding spicy tonkatsu ramen. Comfort food at its best. Owners are very nice and accommodating people! Highly recommend!!!

Solid place! Love that it's in my neighborhood and open late (until 11pm).I've ordered from Mura Mura about 3 times now, always for takeout or pick-up since the place is so small, and I've been pretty happy with all my orders. Every single time I've ordered I've had a great discount making the value for the food so worth it!First time, new restaurant discount.Second time, I used the "Too Good To Go" app that combats food waste (love that they are part of this) for a surprise bag for $9.99 (with value of $30 listed). I got so much! Huge portion of Pork Katsu over steamed rice, their House Salad (love the ginger dressing), Miso soups, order of Gyoza, and a sweet Iced Thai Tea - it was more than enough for 2 people and all very delicious! And the third most recent time was sometime December for a late-night hankering for Ramen after coming home late and my partner and I ordered for pick up on Uber Eats with a BOGO deal on Lime Coconut Milk Ramen (YUM) - 2 for $19.95 - and added Edamame as a side. They threw in apples and 2 cans of coke for FREE in our Takeout bag, which was so awesome since we had been out of town for weeks and had a completely empty fridge after flying in late. All told: SOLID and great value! Friendly staff, cute and cozy place - best for Lunch or Dinner, especially takeout (limited seating, but usually quiet and not busy). Open late. Discounts available. Surprise kindnesses! (Due to being near a University and starving students? lol). Order ahead if possible - they do make it fresh as they go so there is sometimes a bit of wait.Parking: Parking can be difficult! Best to use residential streets nearby.

I really didn't want to believe the few bad reviews I saw recently about this place. I'm always on the hunt for a great ramen place and decided to give them a chance. I ordered from here for the first time tonight. Both my partner and I couldn't even eat the food it was so bad. The crab Rangoon is tasty but the ramen and chicken teriyaki was so flavorless, bland, the pork on the ramen was slimy and undercooked looking. The ramen was bland and I tasted like hot chili oil water. I'm so disappointed and annoyed that we spent $60 on food we couldn't eat. Lesson learned as we won't be ordering from here again.

During a recent vacation, my quest for the perfect bowl of ramen led me to an unexpected treasure. A quick "best ramen near me" Google search brought me to a quaint, unassuming restaurant tucked snugly between two shops. Its modest exterior belied the culinary wonders inside.Upon entering, I was instantly enveloped in a warm, inviting atmosphere, a delightful contrast to the nondescript facade. The interior was cozy and unpretentious, with an air of casual simplicity that focused all attention on the food. The heart of this gem is the husband and wife duo who run the place. Their passion for ramen and dedication to service shone through in every interaction. They greeted each customer with genuine smiles and treated everyone like old friends, creating an exceptionally welcoming environment. Now, let's talk about the ramen. It was, without exaggeration, the best I've ever had. Each bowl was a masterpiece, a perfect harmony of flavors and textures. The broth was rich and savory, the noodles were impeccably cooked, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. Every ingredient was clearly chosen with care, and the attention to detail was evident in every bite. For native Chicagoans, this spot is a must-visit. It redefines what you'd expect from a neighborhood ramen joint. And for those not in the area, I can't recommend it enough. It's worth a road trip, a detour, whatever it takes to experience this culinary delight. This restaurant is not just a meal; it's a journey into the heart of what makes ramen so beloved.

I had a GroupOn to use at Mura Mura, and so I didn't know what to expect. The restaurant is small (only a few tables), so don't come with large groups. That said, I was very happy with the ramen -- especially the broth! I would absolutely come back.

I took a surprise package from you in toogoodtogo, the chicken Katsu is simply magnificent, the rice is cooked perfectly, the salad with the magic sauce was very impressive, the dumplings are wonderful. I liked Bubble Tee too, and most importantly, the girl who works there the sweetest girl I have ever seen, thank you very much, I will definitely come back!!!

Worst ramen I’ve had in the city. Flavorless and overpriced. You have been warned.

This is the furthest thing from ramen I've ever had. Instead of layered, umami rich pork broth, the tonkotsu tastes like water with a dash of boullion and chili oil. Zero depth. No flavor. No real taste of anything recognizable. The egg was hard boiled. They didn't even bother soaking it in soy sauce or attempting to make a jammy yolk. The pork chashu was traumatizing. It was grey, had a gelatinous texture and had zero flavor. The noodles were slightly overcooked and had no bite to them. The karaage was dry as hell. It was white meat chicken, when the standard is always dark chicken. My husband had 3 bites and didn't even bother finishing the rest of his ramen. I had a few more bites of mine, but only because I was hungry. Really, really disappointing meal. And we're not food snobs by any means, we just know good ramen. For us, the best in the city is Wasabi. This place is a joke - they should be ashamed of themselves for calling that ramen. The server asked "how is it?" We answered "not good" and she asked if we wanted a box. Avoid this place and save your money. Anyone who enjoys this ramen needs to get out a little more.

I got the vegan ramen for delivery from Uber eats. On the bright side, it came with the broth very hot and separate from the noodles. However, the whole bowl was very bland. There were not very many veggies and it was like 90% just noodles and broth. The tofu was also completely plain without any marinade or seasoning. The veggie rolls were very good and I appreciated the 2 for 1 special on Uber eats.

After giving them a 2nd chance they were able to provide me with DELICIOUS chicken, and added in a couple yummy treats as well. Thank you so much! Safe to say you won me back!! Will be going there often again
