My friends and I stopped by here for a drink prior dinner on St. Patty's Day. Two security guys up front informed us that they could not allow us in because we were wearing green; that they were instructed not to allow the "St. Patty's Day crowd" to enter. Just for context, there were three of us and we are all over 40. As mentioned, we were on our way to meet friends at dinner so we just thought to stop in. Side note, some other friends who were NOT in green were allowed in later. They informed us that the place was not busy, so this was not because they had no room that evening. I'm not saying more,....except that the last time I was at Best Bar, which is just a half a block down (on Wentworth), the owner bought us a free round of drinks so.....where do you think I'll be bringing my and my friends' business from now on?

This hidden gem is exactly that. Under Moon Palace is my new favorite speakeasy. With a wide array of cocktails of all your favorite Liquors and a knowledgeable staff to help guide your decisions, Nine Bar is a perfect spot to enjoy with friends or a date night. The prices are very reasonable with $13-15 per drink but my favorite is Malort shots for $6. The dim lighting and music you can vibe to are a perfect storm for drink any dy of the week. Highly recommend... Or don't go and I can enjoy all to myself! ?

Decided to go out very last minute for my birthday & wanted to try something new. I’ve heard nothing but great things about Nine Bar & couldn’t wait to check it out with my friends. This place exceeded my expectations, the drinks were phenomenal, music was great, service was amazing! On top of that, security made sure not to have the place super packed so they limit the amount of people coming in. Just the atmosphere alone was so good, you didn’t feel like you were in Chicago. I had a few friends who weren’t drinking and they brought over a great selection of Mocktails. Overall if you are looking for a great time & something different this is the place. They know exactly what they’re doing & provide great service which is all you can ask for.

ok this is a bar, not a restaurant. yet they have the gall to charge a 3% upcharge for employee health care (pro tip: just increase your menu prices, no one would know!) as well as a 20% autograt regardless of party size (we were only 2 ppl) on tabs that are drinks only. it’s 2024 post-pandemic nickel and diming that every hospitality group has started to implement that no one likes, but especially at a bar. drinks were good but left feeling annoyed which is such a shame.

Great vibe, good drinks, but crab ragoon was too fried. Then we got an Employee Healthcare tax on our bill. Never seen this type of tax anywhere else. Would've been nice to inform customers abt it. Just saying.

I'm coming back for the fries alone! Seriously though it's always nice to have something to munch on while you're drinking and especially when it's a craft cocktail. The bartenders all really know what they are doing my wife and I had 4 cocktails between the two of us and not a single one missed the mark. The vibes inside are impeccable mood lighting and music that isn't too loud that you can't have a conversation. I'll definitely be coming back here often!
