Food here is always great. Nothing fancy and is predominantly carry out but the portion and price are unbeatable. The combo plates are where it’s at.

The food was alright. The cost was minimal, so I would say it was worth it. The chicken fried rice was decent, as were the egg rolls. The main courses were o.k. I thought the pepper steak could use a little more seasoning and sauce.

Back to Chicago after years, discovered this amazing place today! I have been transitioning/moving and had to eat out a lot lately. I don't often write reviews but this is truly the best meal I've had this year. I asked what's good, they said General Tso's chicken. Hands down the best variation of the dish I've ever had. the fried rice was delicious and the portions were enormous, I can put away some food and this delicious freshly made crispy yummyness was probably enough for 2 may be even 3 portions/meals. Oh I also had the best crab Rangoon ever, way too much food but I hadn't eaten all day. Needless to say at $12.96 for all that, I will be trying everything on the menu and probably write another review.Vegetarian options: I requested a vegetarian eggroll which they made fresh for me.

Great local spot. Best value Chinese in the area. Egg roll wrappers are too thick for my taste but otherwise all the basics are great.

Orange Chicken, Pot Stickers, Crab Rangoons. They were all far better than I expected at this price point. On top of that, it was a massive serving for the orange chicken combo which ended up being about 2.5 servings for $10 and the Pot Stickers were incredibly hearty.I accidentally ordered from here instead of the other #1 Chop Suey on Addison and I have to say I'm glad I did! Exceeded my expectations and tremendous value.

Here is yet another cheap looking strip mall Chinese place, and another that isn't so bad. It's actually kind of good. Number 1 Chop Suey is one of the cheaper places. Good stuff to be honest. There's meat and there's vegetarian choices such as tofu. Came here to pick up an order for lunch and went to the counter. It's a small place and most people get it to go. There's still a few tables. It's about $10 for an entree. The vegetarian choices include Kung Pao Tofu. It actually had quite a bit of spice to it. Still milder than more authentic stuff though. It had a good variety of vegetables including broccoli and carrots. There was actually a lot for what it cost so it's a good price. For sure it's not pretty looking. It's not that good on the inside either but the food is what counts though. There's the classic beef and chicken entrees as well as tofu ones for vegetarians.

Great value, great food. Nice people running the place. Went here for pick up and had a lunch special. Looks like they aren't doing in restaurant dining still, but not really a problem for me.
