We first tried this place during lockdown since our usual Vietnamese spot closed and became regulars ever since. It’s our Viet spot now for the last 4 years. We’ve had their Bun Bo Hue (our favorite), Pho, spring rolls, and Com Suon (rice & pork chops) and have loved all the above. My husband also likes their catfish dish

I came in here a few years back when i used to work for CTA doing construction on Argyle...since then, i brought my daughter here when she visits from LA, and we became addicted!!! Le and his family have become mine and my daughters favorite restaurant owners. The Pho is good, and the BBH is even BETTER!! My daughter literally makes me drive from pilsen to uptown just for their marinated lemongrass pork spring rolls!!! I think they just make them for her, especially, but I'm not sure. Either way, we just like to feel like they do, lol. The whole family and even a few of their servers are literally the sweetest people. We LOVE Pho Viet is truly an understatement. I believe they make Bo Kho, so hopefully, that's my next dish.

The chicken noodles were burnt so it wasn't the best experience for me but the pho was ok but wouldn't recommend for picky eaters. The price of the food was ok too

The service staff is very good, the pho is ok, the Quang noodles suit my child's taste, the sour soup is a bit sour (different from Western taste), the braised fish is not rich ?

All my food had a funky taste and I went home met with food poisoning. There are much better restaurants in the area I just wish I would’ve asked for a refund.

I really enjoyed it my last visit a few months back, and I was excited for my visit again recently. But as I was eating a fruit fly land on my veggies which was not the end of the world for me. But there was a fruit fly swirling around my pho. I brought it to my servers attention, he took my bowl and the manager(?) came out and tried to offer me and a new pho. Despite this, I asked for it to be removed from my bill.I’m very disappointed as I really enjoyed my last visit and I was enjoying until a fly was in my pho.

We’ve been going around trying different Vietnamese restaurants in Chicago and I would place this slightly below average. We should have suspected something off when we first came in; it was pretty much all non-Vietnamese people including the servers who were all Indian. Everything was clean and the atmosphere was ok. The seafood crispy noodles (mi xao gion) was very good with big shrimp. The bun dac biet was OK, good assortment of meat/meat patties but sort of bland and not browned. Fresh herbs/veggies. The noodles were a little broken up and clumped so weren’t the best. Grilled shrimp was good. Ca kho to had good sauce flavor but watery. Fish wasn’t really caramelized and could have been more soft/moist. They also ran out a lot of their drinks and just had ca phe sua, Thai bubble tea, hot tea, some soda, and water.

Honestly I did not enjoy my food here; I got the chicken banh mi and did not expect to get the chicken with bones.I am sure the other choices are better options though! It bit pricey too; $16 for a sandwich

By far the most amazing pho in Chicago maybe even the world! Spectacular! Stephanie, Ian and Julian all make a great team effort to make sure your table is satisfied and happy. As if your belly already wasn’t. Good food and great vibes. Menu is extensive and I haven’t had one dish that I didn’t enjoy. Lee is an amazing cook and Sandra makes you feel at home. Thanks again everyone at Pho Viet!
