This was the worst Popeye's I have ever had! When I entered it was a mound of chicken cooked and no one in the restaurant, but a worker taking her break at one of the tables. I ask the young Lady behind the counter if the chicken was fresh, because it could've been one of two things very fresh and they just made that big mound of chicken or it has been sitting there for a long time. She assured me it was fresh. I live no more than six minutes away. Got home, the chicken was so old. It was cold, dry, and overcooked. The whole meal was just disgusting. The rice and beans cold! the biscuits cold! It will be the last time that I go to that particular Popeyes if I ever go to a Popeyes again. This experience has changed our feelings for Popeyes our Sunday dinner was ruin. Not only did I pay $30 for a eight piece meal but it was an edible so I ended up paying $30 for two pieces of chicken that we tried, and could not eat. the rest we had to throw in the garbage. I don't have money to waste but I would rather throw it away, then try to consume it.

People hate on this Popeyes but as a UIC student this place is literally what keeps me going when I study for exams. They did mess up and give me someone else's order once, and they were out of sweet tea another time, but at least the employees will always try to make it right. Like when they were out of sweet tea, I asked if I could have a strawberry lemonade instead and they gave me the lemonade with no extra charge, even though the lemonade is more expensive!!! How could I be mad?? Like of course this place isn't perfect but it's a POPEYES what did you expect!!!! Kudos to the employees for dealing with the crazy people on Halsted. I love this place

Stop serving people old fires. If they’re sitting there getting cold and old toss and start some new ones. Guess what? Your customers don’t like old stale fries. Do you? And maybe be nice to your customers. Being nice to people actually works. Try it.

Super weird experience. The store opens at 10 am but they didn’t unlock the door for the few of us there at 10:40 am. We waited outside, hoping to make eye contact with the employees for them to let us in. I already placed an online order so I just wanted to pickup my food! We thought they saw us several times but they didn’t come to open the door. Eventually one of the others called the store and the employee came to open the door but gave us a lot of attitude.On top of that the chicken was dry and they gave us original instead of our ordered spicy.

Restaurant was absolutely freezing. Half my food was already cold when I got it. The other half got cold within minutes. We dined in. They just threw everything in bags and basically told us to leave. No napkins no forks. Seemed irritated we kept having to ask for
