Everything about this place was just... Mediocre. Just to be clear, there was nothing wrong with the food or service but it didn't illicit the nostalgia I was looking for. I grew up in a suburb not far from Chicago but moved to Louisville, Kentucky about 18 years ago and I think we have a Chicago transplant restaurant owner that does Chicago-style cuisine better than this. The prices are reasonable and the food is decent so I'm not mad about getting food here. We had just gotten into town and were starving so having a bite to eat here did the trick. I just think there may be a better place to eat.Wheelchair accessibility: The elevator to the bathrooms on the second level were out of order when we were there so not sure what folks did when stairs weren't an option.

Don’t come to Chicago without trying Portillo’s!!!I was pleasantly surprised by this Chicago classic spot! With everyone recommending it, we knew we had to give it a try. We opted for the Chicago-style hot dog, and let me tell you, it exceeded our expectations! The quality of the bread and the perfectly balanced toppings made it a standout dish. You've got to try it!And the famous chocolate cake lived up to its reputation as the best chocolate cake I've ever had. Seriously, don't miss out on it.The location itself is cool, with ample seating available. Service was efficient, and everything came out surprisingly fast. Overall, a great experience that I highly recommend!

Great affordable fast casual option in River North area. A lot of different options for the whole family. Burgers, Italian sandwiches, chicken tenders, hot dogs, sausages pasta, fries, cake, shakes and there's beer in giant goblets (FUN)! We got the Alfredo, chicken tenders, burgers and fries. Everything was good and the restaurant had a nice vibe and a lot to look at.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly meals but no actual kid meals
