My friends and I had the Omakase at Raisu, and it was fresh and delicious! It was 15 dishes for $120. We also ordered lobster tempura, and chicken Karaage which weren't my favorite. I thought the tempura lobster was unique, but there wasn't much flavor or lobster meat. For the chicken Karaage, it wasn't prepared in a way I preferred. It tasted okay, but the portion was on the smaller side, and the chicken was like bite size tender pieces. I felt like it was missing a fullness in each bite. As for the service, the staff were efficient and very friendly. I appreciated how descriptive they were with the sushi! Overall, I would definitely come back and order more nigiri and try other dishes!

I purchased sushi online for 88$. The portion was for a baby, and even the rat downstairs wouldn’t be full from this food. Incredibly disappointed knowing that I ordered for my family. Now Customer Service!!! The owner of the restaurant was RUDE! I would never order from this place again. THE WORST JAPANESE SERVICE STANDARD OUTSIDE OF JAPAN. The owner told me it was probably my fault for ordering 88$. Screw you.

The sushi is on point! We absolutely love the House Raisu and the scallop roll very much and will definitely come back for them. The staff was professional and courteous. They were helpful with getting us accommodated with our 10-week old baby.

The service was much better than the food I paid $25 for one scallop we were still hungry when we left even though our bill was over $100 we ended up going to Frank's Shrimp House and got a pound of fried shrimp which we should have done to begin with very pricey.

The sushi was surprising, innovative and delicious! Sake flight was a highlight. Seating was comfy and our waitress was super nice. It could have been a tad darker in there in terms of lighting.Would recommend trying a classic maki as well as one of the four-piece sashimi options. (I was skeptical of fish wrapped around fruit, but after one bite I was a believer ? I was also a fan of the pickled onion and scallion in the maki) Our favorite signature was the red dragon.

They always mess up my order every time I order delivery. Last time they forgot a maki roll. I wish they offer signature nigiri for take out. Their sushi rice is just OK. The fish is usually pretty fresh.

Love the all Japanese beer selection and varied sake list...go for the signature nigiris and daily specials...March 1 2024... revisited with Fam and Paige et al knocked it out of the park...3 hot sakes didn't hurt...

Highly recommend this restaurant! Amazing and fresh food, especially the avocado. The service was great; the waitress made sure we had everything we needed and brought out our sushi quickly. And the decor was so beautiful.

Service was not very good at all. Everyone's food was brought out at random times and I didn't get my Miso soup with everyone, they brought it out after the entree but the food was AMAZING.

Nothing went objectively wrong so please take this review with a grain of salt: The restaurant feels as quiet and sacred as a fancy spa, so I strongly suggest you not bring child(ren) with you. The staff was pretty cold and unfriendly with us throughout the meal even though our 3-year-old was appropriately behaved and we ordered a ton of dishes. It made for a very awkward experience. The fish itself was extremely high quality — a major standout for a midwestern sushi restaurant. Would be ideal for a 1:1 date night, solo, or very quiet dinner plan.

Incredible quality! every piece of nigiri/sashimi was delicious and worth every penny Speciality maki was crafted well with unique ingredients Even the Chicken Karage had a unique soft texture but packed with flavor! Wine/Sake/Japanese Beer selection is great The service here is perfect. Not too fast paced and pushy to order and always was very attentive 100% will come back

Excellent sushi options! We loved the uni don, buttery uni is the best! The fish here is fresh and tasty, the miso south broth flavorful and warm. Nigiri portion size was somewhat underwhelming compared to similar quality at other sushi stops on the Northside. Mochi box?, only 2 mochi not 3? Come on ?.

Terrific experience! The food more than lived up to its reputation! Everything was so fresh and delicate and delicious. Decor is pretty - plating beautiful and in the case of inferno dragon- dramatic! The pinot grigio was also very good. I can't wait to go back!
