Always a good easygoing space. I've used it to study/finish work late night, go on fun dates with new and long time lovers, friends. Desserts are bomb and exactly as you picture/imagine them. The butter cake?!?!?! Look at it ?

Definitely worth visiting! Will visit again. I wish the place also served liquor. That would make it much better to spend the evening at. But still the food options were decent and they have a wide variety of games. Worth the visit and the money. Not too expensive.

Great place! Super-nice owners-staff, lots of games, good variety on the menu, outdoor tables, and the indoor tables are spaced well apart.

How can you not enjoy a place that combines board games, desserts and great vibes? Decided to visit Relos after hearing my friend rave about this place and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this little cafe! It is conveniently located on Taylor Street, close to UIC's campus and the overall space is pretty large with plenty of outdoor seating. They also had a plethora of fun games and the staff even offered to teach us this new game we were struggling with. They were really kind and friendly, checking on us throughout the 3+ hours we spent there. Also should mention it is BYOB which is a huge plus, but you have to order a carafe of lemonade in order to participate. Overall a great place to come spend time with a group of friends while enjoying some sweets, definitely plan on coming back again!

Such good food and a warm ambiance. Also the people who work here *really* know their board games, they gave perfect recommendations on games to play. I'll definitely be coming again!

Unbeatable service, beautiful atmosphere, and a huge game selection! Time flies here but luckily there's plenty of great drinks and food available. One of Chicago's hidden gems.

We had an event here for a school organization where we rented out the whole place. This is definitely a cool place to hangout and chill with friends. They have so many games I never heard of.Since this is primarily a dessert bar, I didn't expect the food to be out standing. Everything was fine and a lot of the things seemed store bought like the snack bowls and hummus, which was grainy. However, the grilled cheese was pretty solid. It had really nice browning, ample cheese, nice crunch, and strong buttery flavor. I think that was the best we had all night. Although, I was not a fan of the bbq chicken pizza. I was excited because I like this pizza. Usually it's bbq sauce that replaces the pizza sauce, then cheese then chicken. However, in this case, it was tomato sauce, cheese, then bbq seasoned chicken. The combination just didn't work for me or the rest of the group. I had big expectations for the cookie though, since it is a dessert cafe. Unfortunately, I was let down, they were over baked and didn't have the soft center we were looking for. The edges weren't crunchy, just kind of hard.Staff was super nice and friendly. They worked really hard to pump out food for over 50 of us so I understand if some quality was lost since I think they only had like 3 people in the kitchen.I heard great things about their ice cream so I plan on being back!

This is my favorite board game cafe right now. I've been to many throughout various cities and find that Relo's is so accommodating! In many other places, you may find that you get charges depending on how long you stay or even a food purchase minimum. This sometimes makes me feel stressed, especially if I do not feel like eating. It's great for wanting to get out of the house and do something fun and relaxing, but not necessarily want to get food or drinks at a restaurant. I love that they only charge $5 for entry and you can stay as you please. The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive to game suggestions, ordering, and instructions (which I often need a lot of help on). Please support this business and go check it out! I only come up to chicago on some weekends but still determined that it was worthwhile to get an unlimited monthly pass ($15). This is the best place to take a group of friends as well. Plus, they are open pretty late for a cafe! They are not very busy during covid right now, and offer outfoor seating. Everyone is spaced so far apart, unlike so many other institutions I've seen in Chicago. I love Relo's so much.

A few days before the Covid 19 shut us down. One of my good friends had a birthday get together at this place. Super comfy place to come hang out with a group of friends. There are shelves full of board games and playing cards to choose along the wall. Nice comfortable hangout getaway with a menu with some cool snacks to enjoy. The whole staff was very attentive and very friendly. I must say that I was very impress with this café. I look forward to hangout out again and enjoying more snacks and game nights with my family or friends.

Yummy desserts! Ice cream sundae and gooey butter cake were delicious. The interior atmosphere is soothing and slightly whimsical, and the outside seating is spacious. Service was wonderful! A little pricey, but worth it.

Came here a few weeks ago. The decor and interior looked inviting. However, the quality of drinks was very poor. Upon drinking my latte, I experienced stomach pain and had nausea. My friend ordered a yellow drink from here and also had stomach pain and felt nauseous. Due to this I will most likely never be coming back.

Pretty cool place. They have lots of games and options from those for people new to board games and those for the hardcore players. The people working there were very nice. Food and drinks in the cafe are pretty pricey though, specially taking into account that you already pay 5$ to play.

This place is great! It's a lot of fun and a very low key evening out. The staff were great about explaining new games which we have now become obsessed with playing. This is a place that I would love to visit more with my son, but I do feel like the food is over-priced for the options (outside of sweets and waffles) and that becomes a serious consideration when thinking of fun things to do with the family. It would be great if they had a kids menu, as well. Otherwise one of my new favorite places in the city!
