Y'all have no business making food this good. I'm delighted by the flavors and it left me feeling three months pregnant. I'm definitely coming back to the new location but I'm going to need to eat this food in private. The Mac and cheese, the biscuits, THE CHICKEN! y'all play too much.

First time ordering from this restaurant on door dash. Took an hour, but it was rush hour so I'll give them that. The chicken, stop with these reviews it's horrible. Hard, overcooked crust that's some sort of corral batter not tasty. Not to mention my chicken wasn't cleaned, The first wing I grab had a chicken hair on it all fried together. The sides are small so if you think you can feed more than two don't be fooled. Even still, the Mac was supper runny and cold, and the green beans where hard and had some sort of a vinegar flavor, and our one biscuit was dry and hard. The end on this restaurant for this girl...

Disappointing. My boyfriend and I ate here, we were the only people in the restaurant, we ordered our food, and waited almost 25 minutes to get it. I could see four cooks in the kitchen, and did not see many take out orders being picked up in that 25 minutes. When we finally got our food, both of my sides (Mac and cheese & French fries) were cold, and my chicken sandwich was lukewarm. My boyfriend's sides were also cold, but his Nashville hot chicken was hot. After waiting for 25 minutes I was too hungry to ask for it to be warmed. The food was also way too over priced for the quality& service we received. We told our server when paying and he did not have much sympathy. I will not be going back.

We really enjoyed this place! Stopped in before a concert at Wrigley. Super friendly staff, good COLD beer and tasty food. The portions are large, we split a chicken sandwich, got Fries and Mac and Cheese. Food was made to order. They have different spice levels, we only went for spicy as we didn't want to risk anything more before a show. Sides were great too. If we are in the area we will be back!

The worker at the counter was one of the rudest people I've encountered. Made me not want to eat there so I left lol.

Well, I have the responsibility to leave an honest review on my latest experience here. To start, I called in an order for pickup at the location down the street (Wrigleyville) for my coworkers and myself. The food was as good as usual. The service was awful. As I said, I called in the order, and was told 30 minutes to pickup. I walked over and check-in at around the 28 minute mark. I was then told by the host/server/bartender that the order was being bagged up. I received a confirmation text that the order was ready shortly (2-3 minutes) after. I then waited an additional 15 minutes without it being checked on, or asked if I wanted or needed anything. I should add that there were only 4 other parties there at the time. Maybe about 5 minutes into waiting, another party of two come in and are served, at this point after I received the confirmation of my order being ready. Needless to say after spending more than $70 on food, I would hope for a little better service. My coworkers have decided that they don't care for cold food, especially at the prices paid for it. We will not be ordering from this location in the future, nor recommending that any of our other coworkers or guests visit either. Such a shame, in the past the service has been exceptional.

Best chicken sandwich I’ve ever eaten

Delicious food, very messy and at times difficult to eat since the piece of chicken was so large, but definitely worth it and I would go back!

Everything was delicious and great service! I highly recommend the chocolate chip bread pudding too!

We ordered from the 455 Milwaukee location, 40$ for a full chicken dinner with 3 sides, and paid extra for 2 biscuits. They were Not busy when we came in, but still our order took longer than the 2 orders that came in after us. Double or Triple check your orders, because we drove all the way back to the Southside just to find out that they Didn't give us 2 of the 3 sides. Also, customer service Needs work!! smdh! 1st time here, most likely the last.

Received food with pickles they were not sure if they were pickled with mustard seed I was told in the phone, when a severe mustard allergy was noted on the ticket. No refund offered, no replacement food offered, was only told sorry twice. I was very lucky I saw it before eating otherwise I would’ve been in the Emergency Room fighting for my life. How my food was prepared and garnished with no regard for a severe food allergy is beyond me how this place is still in business. And with a 20% tip given for takeout. So upsetting. Had to get food from some place else to eat.

Walking around Wriggleyville in Chicago I stumbled onto this almost hole in the wall restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. The staff was friendly and the food was pretty good. I ordered the heater which was their take on a Nashville hot chicken sandwich and it was a lot better than I expected. The different components of the sandwich played off each other quite well. My kids split a half bird of fried chicken and the breading and chicken was very good. The highlight of the meal was the Mac and cheese side we all ordered. Amazing!! Typically Mac and cheese is nothing great but this one was extraordinary for something that was just a side. Overall, I was very happy with my meal. I felt it was a bit pricey but I can't judge them on the price as I'm not sure what the price point of other restaurants in this area are like.

Slice of the south right in the middle of the city! My friend discovered this restaurant just before my visit and lucky for me he did! You order food at the counter and they bring it to you. It was busy when we got there but were able to snag a spot at the bar. I got the ¼ dark meat chicken with mac + cheese, fries, and a biscuit. I mean I had to get a biscuit. The chicken was hot and fresh, juicy on the inside. I got one piece original and one piece spicy. The coating on the chicken was a bit floury if that makes sense? It was tasty but a different texture. The mac + cheese was on point. I love a creamy mac and this fit the bill. The biscuit was southern style - buttery and flakey. The fries were hot and crispy. Ranch was delish. All good in my book!

Couldn't love the food at Roost more. But I wish they would stop handing out piles of disposable plastics and togo stuff in the name of covid safety. The national guidance does not call for this (and hasn't since the grocery-washing phase in early-mid 2020). And environmental waste has tripled. Time to stop. Still, the sunrise biscuit, chicken, egg, cheese.....
