First time customer last week. The food was excellent. I had the Red Sea Tuna Salad sandwich. The portion was huge and the flavor was excellent. Among the best tuna sandwich's I've ever had. The tomato, spinach & pasta soup was delicious. It tasted homemade and was the perfect match for my sandwich. I also tried the pineapple lemonade. OMG! I have a sweet tooth and it was satisfied. It was surprisingly delicious. But, I could only have one a week or so! The food was reasonably priced; with the tip, I think it was a little over $20.00. The staff was super friendly. It took a few minutes longer than I expected for the food to be prepared. But, it clearly wasn't pre-made. It tasted fresh made. That takes a little more time. Happy to wait for it! The store is small with one or two tables as I recall. Maybe 4 to 8 people could eat-in if they like. I'm so glad this little soups, salads and sandwiches shop is in the neighborhood. I want the tuna sandwich again. But, I think I'll try the grilled salmon sandwich tomorrow when I go back.

I have been to the shop three times. Each time I had something different. Each time they exceeded my expectations. The building is newl and it is clean and modern.The people are nice. Their meal choices are well put together. The food is pleasing to the eye. The sandwiches are well constructed. They use quality ingredients .It is the best. You wish you had been there sooner.

Called in an order today. Went to pick it up with cash in hand, as I was headed to work. I was told that they would not accept my bills because they were the older version. I had never heard of this before. I get that there are counterfeit bills circulating, but then just don't accept cash all together. I was asked for a different form a payment, which I didn't have. But there was no "sorry the inconvenience", NOTHING!

haven’t lived in Chicago for years however, yesterday while there I got lunch from one of my old favorite black owned businesses. Simply soups and salads where you can have your salad made just the way you like it and the ingredients was always fresh. I got the turkey and cheddar panini with garlic butter, some soup they famous lemonade and some chips. The best part is i can count on my food to always taste the same. Glad to see their business still going strong. The owner and her staff is amazing. Go check them out!

Thoroughly happy whenever I’m working near here , the half sandwich and small soup lunch special is thoroughly worth it ! The freshness of the ingredients and the hearty soup is thoroughly appreciated these days ! Ps get pesto added to your panini, you’re welcome in advance :-) .
I had brought leftovers from an unhealthy meal and decided I needed something more sustainable for lunch. So I tried Simply! The salad a sandwich was surprisingly fresh and delicious. I was won over by the appearance and quantity alone. But the quality of the meats, softness of the bread and crunch of the salad will makes this one of my favorite go tos.
