This BBQ place is a gem in Chicago, the brisket was tender, well sliced and neatly plated with the rest of the sides. The slaw was a nice free side that I need the recipe for, slaw gets a lot of hate but this was pretty good. Pleasantly surprised we found this place and will definitely go again.

Avoid. It’s only fresh on some days, the rest of the week they’re reheating leftovers. The foods too expensive to gamble on whether it will be so dry you have to dump a glass of water on it to make it edible.

This place ROCKS! People are friendly, the guy walking the floor is awesome, and the food is second to none. I wish there was one in the NW burbs so I could go more often. Oh, the watermelon tea, OMG!

Ok, this place should be packed all day everyday! Great little bluesy feeling place. All their food are on point! The pulled pork is just awesome. They smoke their meats to that perfect point, not to much...just right! Cornbread and greens are amazing, the peach cobbler is worth the trip alone. The ribs are perfect, you got to bite and pull the meat off the bone, not chewy or hard just that great chew that make a great BBQ. They know what they are doing for sure. Find them, go there and eat! Their prices are well thought out for what you get, you will not be disappointed!!! You can tell the food is made with love. The people here are amazing too, super nice and super polite! Oh I for to mention the sauce, perfect for their meats. You really don't need sauce at all, I mean would you soak a steak in sauce? Go now and try this place!!!

Came here because it was known for their BBQ in Illinois. Let me say the seasoning on the meat is phenomenal. I love chicken and got their 1/2 chicken and let me say the skin is so crispy and flavorful. My boyfriend got the 1/2 brisket and pulled pork, taste of st. Louis ribs and Texas sausage. For the side we got Mac and cheese, corn bread and slaw. The server were very nice to help us out and recommend what to get. Would come back.

Yum!!! Ribs were excellent, definitely worth the wait. The place was super packed and a bit hectic with takeout orders and people clustered waiting for tables to open up. We ordered at 6:43, waited almost 30+ mins for a table for 3 and didn’t eat until after 7:35, which was not what I expected I guess. I figured a place where you order, pay and pick up your own food wouldn’t be this long of a wait. That being said- means business is good! They have a quality product for sure and so many tasty options: ribs, brisket, 1/2 chicken, pulled pork, and so many delicious sides. The Mac n cheese and baked beans are excellent so is the cornbread and coleslaw was refreshing with the heaviness of bbq! All around great food and service was nice just pretty slow! Save room for caramel bread pudding or peach cobbler too!!

I heard a lot of praise from friends of mine regarding this place. We weren't disappointed. My friend and I ordered the 1/2 brisket and 1/2 pulled pork with a side of spicy pork sausage. Our sides were brisket beef chili, coleslaw and the bacon/ baked beans. Prices were a bit expensive with a cost of $38 a piece, but I'll blame Bidenomics on this, since all costs have increase 20-30% since 2020. Everything was awesome! Coleslaw and bacon baked beans could have been a little better; however, I would definitely recommend this place.

I went on a Friday and ate inside. Had the St Louis Ribs and everything was moist, warm, and delicious. It was so good that I decided to order out today. Unfortunately, there food does not takeout very well. I ordered the St Louis Ribs with sides. Despite picking it up right when it was ready, the ribs were dry and not even lukewarm, the fries were cold and stale, and the brisket chili was watery and not even warm. Some BBQ places cook on Friday and you get the dry leftovers on Sunday, so that may be what happened or the food just does not take out well. Also, they charged me for extra sauces but didn't give me the sauces I wanted or even tell me how many sauces came with it in the first place. I only wanted one of each sauce and they said they had to charge me but then I get like 5 sauces that I don't even need.In sum, you're better off eating in, don't even bother with to go. Also, go on a Friday rather than a Sunday.

Had dinner here. Ordered the 1/2 chicken with slaw and 2 sides. The cost $24. That's overpriced. The chicken tasted great along with their bbq sauces. I have been to plenty of BBQ joints in which there smoked meats taste awesome but their sauces lack flavor. Not here . Great flavor with a touch of heat. The kicker is the overpriced sides. $5 each and the portions are small. The sides are definitely not worth it. The Cole slaw is lacking something and has a strong vinegar taste, maybe needs a dash of sugar. I tried the Mac n cheese, this portion is small for the price and I would recommend you pass on this , it just lacked any cheese flavor. Also I had the brisket chili, this was good but the brisket pieces were extremely fatty. I was wondering if they repurpose older fatty brisket pieces. Overall the meats taste great but the sides are lacking and overpriced
