Perfect little diner style place. Service was quick and welcoming. The food was exactly what I was looking for just before taking the train home.

A few feedbacks 1. The establishment uses standalone AC units, the cold air is blowing my head thru out my dinner. 2. All food is heavily seasoned. It is pretty salty 3. Water is lukewarm. It is not cold from the fridge or comes with ice 4. Loaded fries is pretty spicy when we ask specifically ask the waiter cuz we have two kids dining with us. He said. It's not spicy at all. Waiter needs to know their food. 5. Bibimbap has kimchi on the bottom of the bowl. Is this the authentic Korean way of making bibimbap? I had many bibimbap in Chicago, this is the first restaurant has kimchi included. 6. Gratitude is included for party of 4. 7. My daughter loves the loud non-stop k-pop MV playing on the TV.

I didn't really care for the saucy tofu. It wasn't crispy and spongy like fried tofu usually is and the sauce just tasted like Lao gan ma. But the tofu taco was delicious and would definitely get that again!!

This place is awesome. Very unassuming, especially with nearby construction. However, the food was on point. I'll admit the service is different. We were seated quickly but then there was an extremely long time between that and having our order taken. But once our order was in, food came quickly. The dumplings were excellent. My bibimbap bowl was out of this world. My wife's garlic fried rice was very tasty. They were definitely busy but service was quick once it got going.

Love the bibimbap bowl at Soju BBQ. Not everything on the menu is halal but the halal options are clearly labeled!Dietary restrictions: Halal options labeled in menu

Be aware of the prepaid tips. They charged 15% dine-in fee. The bill is no itemized. They just give you a total and ask for tips again. If my husband wasn’t good at math, I would pay another 18%. I feel terrible about this, though I didn’t pay for the extra. I feel they design this. Won’t be there again. The food is like an average. I have no idea how can this restaurant earn such a large number of extremely positive reviews.

Went here with coworkers during the st.pattys weekend. I had several coworkers that really enjoyed this place and I was curious to try and comparing korean food from back home in SoCal. We were the only ones in the restaurant which made sense being st.pattys. The korean fried chicken was soooo yummy! It was sooo flavorful and the best dish we ordered. It was the perfect amount of spice and sweetness. This chicken could possibly be better than other korean fried chicken places back at home. I also really enjoyed the garlic fried rice. The kimchi fried rice and kimchi dumplings could be spicier. The kimchi dumplings were more like wontons which was interesting. The tteokbokki was good, but the tteok was slightly overcooked. Will definitely come back if I am craving some 치맥 in chicago!

4.5 A great spot serving up Halal food! All the Halal items are marked on the menu. Good ambience, definitely inspired by similar places in Korea complete with a TV playing kpop in the back. Food overall was good, not easy to find a halal Korean spot. I liked the beef the best, but the chicken was pretty delicious too. Service could be a bit more prompt initially with the ordering. Overall a solid meal, I'd venture in for again.

Friendly staff and good food. Very little quantity of food though considering the prices. I’ve only ever tried the halal stuff and they’re all delicious. I’m glad the menu is short. It helps the dishes stay consistent. Their kimchi cucumber is yummm. You have to make a reservation online. The place is small but their to-go orders are always crazy.

The guy working there was extremely rude when asked any questions, the service was horrible. Not one time did our group get asked if we needed anything or if we were okay. Food quality wasn’t as great as previous times. It seems as if when they’re busy the food quality becomes very poor. Very disappointed.

I took my daughter during Restaurant week and we ordered the special which was $45 a piece. But once they taxesld and added gratuities the bill was $175! It's not worth returning to in my opinion.

All the food we ordered was delicious and came out in a timely manner. If you're a person that gets cold easily, I'd suggest you don't sit near the windows.
