I love the taste I order lg.tip hot every time the last 3 or four times my tips had lots of hard pieces.i was there this past Sunday and i hate the way tips are cut because of it looked and smells so good however I had tons of large bones with little to no meat on them..? so I had bones and enough fries for several people. I haven't given up on them yet because I have had some great meals in the past.

My son heard about Sunny's BBQ and sent money and told me to go try it. I did!! Pros: friendly counter person & great customer service. Large servings. I ordered a small rib tip & and a small catfish. The BBQ sauce is great, and they give you plenty of sauce. Each order came with 2 pieces of soft fresh bread. It took approximately 30 minutes for my order to be prepared. Cons: The rib tips were tough. It tasted like the meat was actually boiled. The tips had too many bones. I had to chew & spit out the meat. It was too tough. The catfish was OK but battered. If I return, I'll try the chicken & hot links only. They now take debit cards, but there is a $2 processing fee.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the Turkey tips were. They were tender, juicy and the sauce was great. Even the fries were good. I ordered for co-workers and just ordered some more to take home to my wife.
I am a 77th and Halsted customer I never had any problem with my orders and I come all the way from Justice Illinois to Sonny’s in South Harlem keep up the good work And I will continue to be a faithful customer put the pig ear sandwich back on the menu…I’m a 1985 Customer to present customer
