Ordered my usual steak tacos my meat had a red seasoning on it and was a little spicy I called the next day guy told me no they don't have a red seasoning so I guess I'm stupid no worries you won't get my family business again your loss.

Best of the TBK's. Service is great. Food is fire. Prices are decent. Always reliable. As far as people talking about ambience--please go somewhere. It's TBK. If you from Chicago, you know about some TBK. Also, please put some respect on the TBK name. Can't believe this guy called it a whole in the wall, then another says it's run down. What makes it run down exactly? I've never seen anything broken or dirty. It's primarily a takeout spot. My faves are the sopes and chicken tacos.

Was on the way to another restaurant that ended up being closed. Luckily this spot was open late night. Was empty when we pulled up, but got busy before we left. Steak was fresh and made to order. We recommend the red salsa and adding jalapeños to the burrito for a kick. Food was so good we forgot to take pictures. Horchata was refreshing. We went after 10pm on a Sunday. Compliments to whoever cheffed it up.

The heavyset gentleman was extremely rude. I was in line he took someone before me, and then he gave me an attitude when I addressed him even the lady that he took before me stated that he was rude.

I do not really understand why, over on the west side, some resturaunts were you can dine in, have this big open space but only has like 3 tables to sit at. I do not understand. Just take those three tables out because you can not go with a group (more than 4 to a table) and enjoy a meal there. Might as well call it a fast food div? No they even have more tables avail to sit.But anyway. I typically write 5 stars for foods I really enjoy. The only thing is...I like Taco Burrito King better. Sorry not sorry.This place is still good despite the seating arrangement. The workers are nice and communicative.
Well in regards to the ambiance this place feels more like a hole in the wall casual dining. I have been here before long ago and the Mexican food is nothing to do cartwheels about however it's not really bad food. I was looking for something different for dinner today in this cold winter Halloween of 2024 and this was it. Service was a bit slow but nothing terrible in regards to the wait and the manager Carmen talking to a customer over the phone about a problem. I am surprised no washroom to wash your hands even though it's a run down hole in the wall restaurant. Thus the 3 stars. I had ordered the taco dinner for Tuesday special and it comes including a fountain drink or horchata a milk beverage and your choice of meat between chicken or steak this is on Tuesdays I also ordered a medium size nacho chips and guacamole which I'm surprised the guacamole seems generous other than that it's a decent restaurant just wish they had a bathroom that's the three stars if you ever touch anything dirty hopefully you brought some hand sanitizer or some wipes

The food is good and inexpensive. I really like their salsas especially the red. Some batches are saltier or more spicy then others but generally has a pretty consistent flavor. The best part is when you order veggie with avacado they generally DO NOT skimp on the avacado like most places do!On another note, Ive been coming to this location since it arrived years ago and the best service and interactions Ive ever had have been in the last few weeks. The woman who takes my order (Carmen I believe) is so sweet and friendly and really works hard to make your experience pleasant.Being vegetarian, I usually have a mishap with my order about 1/4 of the time. Ive never had a wrong order since she arrived at this location and shes always so vibrant from the moment you walk in the door. Keep her...she makes everything better!
