Had an amazing impromptu lunch after finding this spot in Andersonville after a WGN TV spot myself and my fellow cast mate just finished. I believe they had opened just 15 minutes before we came in, so we were the first guests in the space. Everyone was very friendly, professional and the sushi was amazing. We were grateful our waitress helped us with opening our drinks as we were struggling lol. Definitely recommend!!

Possibly because we came here for restaurant week, but the service was painfully slow. The meal took over 2 hours but it wasn't the good kind. Pacing was off, and there was a lot of just waiting around. The food was good, there was variety in the flavors and some unique takes in there that were interesting and usually delicious. The restaurant week option wasn't particularly worth it -- coming at any other time would probably be better from a service perspective as they wouldn't be overwhelmed. I enjoyed the seating options. They weren't too close together and even the tables for 2 were quite large. Overall a fan.

The sea food was the freshest possible and the 2 rolls I had, with soft shell crab and eel were of exquisite taste. Appetizers were delicious, especially the rich green salad with ginger dressing. The dry cold sake, recommended by the waiter, was very good, their list being impressive.

We went here for restaurant week and it was definitely worth it. This was by far our favorite meal we’ve had this month. All the fish was so fresh, and the flavors from the sauces all worked so well with each other. The mochi ice cream and the cocktails were also great. The service was top notch. We’ll definitely be back again.

Came here with family and we had the best experience.Food was superb, sushi and sashimi was extremely fresh and the special toro/uni handrollls was out of this world. Still salivating thinking of those hand rolls. Cant wait to come back.

My bestie invited me out for dinner at Tanoshii, and we had a blast! The restaurant had such a great value to offer during restaurant week, and the dasai 50 sake that the server recommended was the perfect choice of drink for our GNO. I'm already planning my next visit when things calm down after Restaurant Week. I can't wait to go back and explore more of their amazing menu. It's definitely a place worth revisiting!

Best restaurant week deal I've come across!! A 5 course meal with two rolls and some sashimi, nigiri, apps, and dessert?! Sign me up!! The blue truffle sashimi was to die for! I want to go back and try their omekase

I would eat here every day if I could. I love bringing new people here and having them experience the unique signature rolls. The entire staff is top notch, welcoming and friendly, very attentive. My clients love it, my family and friends love it, but no one loves it more than me! Best Sushi and Rolls in Chicago!
