This used to be my favorite place to get tacos. I have patronized this business for many years since before the pandemic. The food has been hit or miss with more misses lately due to food being dry & lack of flavor, but I continued to give them my business despite the prices continuing to going up (though this is everywhere). But lately the customer service has been either great or subpar. This business also has blind/hidden charges. They don't tell you about the charges, it's not on the menu & they're not itemizing them on the receipt. Therefor beware. Then when you ask about it or request that they begin being more transparent about their pricing, the female owner wants to argue with you & tell you they can't tell everyone all of the charges, instead of admitting they're committing fraud & price gouging with some items. If you eat here, make sure they're not charging for items that are usually complementary & make sure you know what you're being charged for.

Great tacos, but pricey. The food is worth it. The workers are friendly and the environment is fast-paced.

We had Taqueria Varitas cater an event for over 100 people at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Chicago and we were so pleased with the food and service. Our guests raved about the chicken and the steak tacos along with the salsas. We can't thank you enough for making our day special for not only us but our family and friends who joined in the celebration. Please rush over and enjoy the delicious food from this taqueria. It is worth a little drive to get there. The owners are stand up people and take pride in their preparations. Go check them out and enjoy some really awesome Mexican Food. They also sell a smaller menu inside the caffeteria at this particular Church on Roosevelt Road near UIC campus on Sundays. Say hello to God and go buy some lunch from.Taqueria Varitss...it is worth the visit.Dietary restrictions: They also accomidate for those who are vegan and vegetarian. Delicious.
Amazing Mexican food and awesome service. Everything I've ordered from the taco salad to the tortas I've been impressed by, and I lived in Mexico City for 3 months. Highly recommend this place!

Just had a mini steak burrito. It was basically a flour tortilla taco with beans, meat, and cheese. The meat was lean, seasoned well, and not greasy. But ~$4.50 (w tax) for a little taco is too high for me. I would be tempted to come back if the prices came down.
Loved it! Will be
