I had the Lobster bites and it was delicious. My co-worker had the Caesar Salad and said it was a “real” Caesar salad with anchovies and said it was really good. We would definitely eat there again.

I had a great experience here and thought the food was delicious. The staff was super accommodating and willing to split our dishes (lyonnaise salad and steak frites) and it's a lovely spot! I missed the happy hour by a few minutes but it looks like a decent deal and would certainly come back.

Went for lunch on a Thursday and the bartender was also our server. She was very rude and had bad manners. Food was mediocre. The service was also very slow and she did not check to see if we needed anything. Cute atmosphere but do not recommend.

Food took a long time to arrive but they were not busy even for a Tuesday.Great atmosphere and the veal was salty and not flavorful. The salmon cake was more fishy than usual.

I love this place! Highly recommend! I have been walking by here for years to and from my train and finally planned a girls night with a friend a few months ago for dinner and I am hooked! Since, I stop here frequently for dinner on the way home because the food is so good! The staff are all so attentive and the atmosphere is adorable. I love their China choices with the danty floral place settings. The Lobster Thermador bites are by far my favorite! If you haven't tried this place out, please do so! You won't be disappointed

The servers are very attentive and accessible. I got the steak sandwich and I recommend that. The restaurant looks very nice on the inside. There is a lot of seating, and there is additional seating in a outside tent when it is warm.

We ordered two French onion soup (which was the reason we came to that restaurant) and we ordered two steak frites ( one medium rare and one medium well)One of the soups came cold and the other one was hot but both very very salty , we returned the cold one by the time the waiter brought back hot ( still salty ) the food came , French fries were nice and fresh but the meat was cold and agian slaty. We returned both dishes and waited so long even longer than when it was first served.Surprisingly , we had the medium well is almost medium rare and again cold and the medium rare was burnedFrench fries which were perfect at first came cold and burned.Restaurant manager charged us only for the drinks but still our night was spoiled.By the way restaurant wasn’t full so that no to excuse the bad food and service .Never again

Taureaux Tavern is a decent restaurant to have a lunch in the south loop. It's located directly behind the Chicago Board of Trade Building. The location is pretty good - around a bunch of office buildings and the CTA. I went here for a business lunch with some coworkers, the service was good and all the workers were friendly and the food was tasty, but I could not believe the prices. For example, it was $30 for a small piece of salmon with spinach and a sauce for a meal, I understand it's the city but that's totally unreal - i could have went to Marianos and got a bigger piece of salmon for $5 and have them cook it for me there! I wouldn't return personally due to the prices, but if you got the money and want a tasty meal, try it out.

Excellent food, casual-elegance atmosphere. We had the Osso Buco and Mussels plus apps, drinks, and dessert. Appreciated the cozy environment and great service on a busy weeknight!
