We had a great time trying this place in my neighborhood. Overall the food and service was terrific. Our small plates and entrees were flavorful, unique and delicious. Service was super friendly and helpful. My only negative was the auto 22% tip. We had some cocktails and 2 bottles of wine with dinner so our bill was going to be high. I didn't appreciate having the 22% applied to the liquor! That's why I scored low on value.

Took a minute to get a server - but the food was fantastic and decently priced! The entrees are large portions - we split the souvlaki and the arugula salad, okra, and spinach pastry, all incredible!

This place is great! Their decor is wonderful - the lower level has really nice Greek fixtures and the upstairs heated patio is great on cooler days. The food has always been exceptional - flavorful, good portions, and timely. The service has been consistently great as well.Pictured:Prassopita (Leeks, fresh dill, lemon and goat feta)Yiaourti Meli Kai (Greek yogurt with walnuts, honey, and candied oranges)

The outside dining really added to the fine dining atmosphere. Setting was comfortable and the service was phenomenal! The small plates were all good. The meat for the entrees was overcooked (ordered rare lamb chops and they were well done) but the flavor was good. Lots of stairs so be prepared to climb. Nice experience!

Wonderful food and service! There were 7 in our group and we shared plates of tzatziki, hummus, fried cauliflower and octopus with main courses of lamb kebab, oven roasted half chicken, and souvlakia. Great wine paired with the food. Will be back

Wow. Best Greek did I’ve ever had. I’ve not been to Greece, but this restaurant really makes me want to visit soon.

Arrived early for our 7:30 reservation and we sat down at 7:57 with no apology offered or any explanation. Plates came equally late and a starter missed that then came in the middle of a meal. Was told we hadn't ordered enough to then have too much food. The great company was the only good thing about my evening. Very disappointing.

Like other places, prices are up significantly and portions are down significantly. Taxim used to be a good value but not so much anymore. It is also maximizing reservations and we waited 30 minutes after reserved time to be seated. The food is also not prepared and plated with as much care as it once was. A couple of examples. Cured sardines probably had less than one sardine chopped into miniscule pieces spread around some arugula. The grilled octopus was cooked well but came with poorly prepared roasted red onion (the outer shell it seemed no less) and a tiny piece of fennel. The gigantes were not particularly hot and again a small portion of beans for price. The fish in pastry was horrible--old fish in lots of pastry. A plus is the wine list and our server recommended a great red for about $55. Taxim needs to get back to the type of passionate place started by the chef several years ago.

Good Greek food and nicely decorated space. Service was good. Parking can be tricky at peak times.

I was expecting to order off the menu- instead was stuck with the Valentine Menu paying 90 for too much food. After the appetizers and soup - I could not eat my main course (being stuffed). I had originally looked at the menu - never saw the Prix Fixe menu advertised on Open Table. The food was very good - the restaurant was overwhelmed with diners - so the service did suffer.

Really great food. 22.2% automatically included gratuity for two people? Why stop there, guys! Why not 30%? Waiters work really hard! $3 extra for more pita without explaining. I just feel like I was shaken down despite it being a nice restaurant.

I was glad to have tried this restaurant recently. Easy to get reservations. Staff was nice and didn't rush even though I was one of two of the last tables till closing. Tzatziki was incredible. Also tried the duck and was so tender and delicious. Will be back soon to try so many other options that look great on the menu.

There's Greek Food before and l after Taxim. And may I say it's not the same! The lamp chop is the clear winner here because my siblings and I devourbit to the bone but the duck gyro and yiaourti are close runner-up. Cannot wait to get back on that stunning patio when summertime comes.
