This spot caught my eye while shopping in the city.Stopped for lunch, it's a perfect spot for drinks and dining. Our server and food was exceptional and we enjoyed the bar vibe and lighting. Highly recommend the pizzas and salads.Vegetarian options: Easily adjusted dishes to vegetarian preferences, server was more than accomodating!

We stopped by the Bellevue for drinks but ended up for dinner. We didn't realize Restaurant Week was still going on, so we decided to stay put. For a Friday evening, we were able to get a table in the bar area. We each started off with a cocktail. I got a vodka espresso martini and my husband got their signature drink, the Bellevue. I wished I got his! That drink was amazing... next time... For dinner, I started off with the octopus--yummy! It had a small kick to it. I got the chicken Diane, which is essentially roasted chicken with a mushroom Marsala sauce. It was served with mashed potatoes and some asparagus. So tasty! My husband got the Caesar salad and the skirt steak. We got the raspberry tart and the key lime ice cream pie to share. The ice cream pie was my favorite of the two! Service was good though I felt our waitress was a bit flirty with my husband ‍

Extra points for having two floors of service open at lunch time when LuxBar has an hour wait for a table! Upstairs is quiet, for those seeking sensory refuge after getting your steps in on Michigan Avenue. The hostess was genuine and kind. I was hoping for Bar Siena level food, but was met with more Gibson's level. You can get away with that when you are serving long time regulars, but I digress. Clean and beautifully decorated with attentive bussers. If the waiter wasn't so rushed I would have asked what their best recommendation was.

Where do I even start with this incredible meal? When you walk in, it's beautifully decorated and the staff are quick to greet you warmly. Went here on a work dinner and it was the perfect place for it. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and chic with some light noise. The drinks I had were the espresso martini and the strawberry mule- both highly recommended options. Couldn't tell you which ones better, but if you have it in you for both, I would do it. The bread service appetizer was wonderful, we loved all three of the dips it came with. The cheese was a noticeable winner, the herb one was great, and the table was split on the bone marrow (i personally liked it). We got the beef skewers as well and they surely did impress! Would come back for those and drink alone. For my meal I did restaurant week, so I tried the meatballs and some of the octopus as well- both wonderful! Loved the two of them equally. The squid ink pasta was astonishing. I saw someone leave a review about how it MUST be added to the permanent menu and i couldn't agree more. I would order that over and over again. Great experience and service the whole night- we closed the place out and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Didn't feel like we were a pain or being rushed out. Would love to go back!

I went there two nights in a row and ordered the same drink. One time it was $17 and the other it was $21.50. No explanation for it. Very weird.

My husband and I joined friends for a nice dinner out at The Bellevue and enjoyed a great evening. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the staff and escorted to our table. Our waiter Luis was attentive and guided us on a great dining experience. He started us off with the bread service which was well worth the $10. Our meal also included the wedge salad which was dressed to perfection. We opted to try several different dinner entrees, which included two different pizza ‘s( the cheese and Chicago special) which were both outstanding. We also had the Crab cakes, the pork chop and the Prime skirt steak, which was also enjoyed by all. The drinks accompany our meal were generous portions and the Bourbon manhattan was well enjoyed. To finish our meal, we enjoyed the Apple pie, Key lime ice cream pie and the Taylor St. cake, which our friend who normally doesn’t eat dessert couldn’t stop going back for more. The atmosphere topped off the whole experience and we would highly recommend The Bellevue. The only bad experience we had was the weather. We look forward to returning and trying some of the other entrees, one which will be the Triple B burger.
