This place was fantastic!! We ended up going at 2 PM for a late lunch on a Saturday thinking we'd get in easily, but it was nearly packed. We were still able to get in without a reservation. I was impressed by the quality of the food and particularly the knowledge of the waitress who knew an amazing amount of detail about the wine. We will absolutely go again.

This place was exceptionally good. I came because I saw lobster frites on the menu. I’d never had lobster prepared that way before and it did not disappoint. I also ordered the ahi tuna tartare and an apple fennel salad. All were a great value for the cost, as they tasted great and the portions were generous. I highly recommend.

My experience at Gage restaurant was absolutely atrocious. After eating a “Classic burger” last night, I ended up with a severe case of food poisoning.I would not recommend dining at this establishment to anyone, as it was a truly unpleasant and stomach-churning experience. Steer clear of Gage if you value your health.

I moved away from Chicago about the time The Gage opened and have always wanted to come back and try it. We truly enjoyed our experience. The place was busy on a Friday at dinner hour, but our server, Kalisha and the rest of the staff were top notch and everything was taken care of before we ever had to ask. We shared the Caesar salad and it was delicious - good dressing and crispy Parmesan chips to top it off. My partner had the burger and curry fries and it was his first time trying the delicious curry sauce that I loved in Ireland but is hard to find in the states. I had the fantastic mushroom ragu - I love mushrooms and they were prepared so well, a little pan seared and crispy, not soggy or mushy and so plentiful over the perfectly cooked rigatoni. We shared the mocha dessert - I am a baker and picky about restaurant desserts, it was phenomenal, with a small scoop of coffee gelato. I would definitely stop for a meal any time of day next time we visit our home town. Thank you!

We sat on the patio with a view of Millennial Park. Service was attentive but not in a rush. Thanks Abigail. Food was prepared wonderfully and the portions were unexpectedly large. I definitely recommend the Croque Madame. You won’t walk away hungry. Atmosphere reminded me of a Parisian cafe.
