We made a lunch reservation for restaurant week. Upon being seated we were greeted by a waiter that was clearly so uncomfortable interacting with people. I must admit I was relieved when a different, more confident & clear speaking, person came to the table. This person informed us that all 3 of us dining had to order from the restaurant week menu or none of us could order off that menu. When we quietly & politely objected they said that all restaurant week places do that. We disagree and have been to numerous restaurants during RW that allow fewer than the entire party to order off the RW menu. My 94 year old mother asked if she should go sit at her own table because she wanted to order off the regular menu while my husband and I wanted the RW selections. This person then reluctantly allowed our request. My mother noticed that this person as well as other staff were unsmiling, scowling, and in general unfriendly. All of our choices tasted good but were wildly overpriced.

Great food, great service, the restaurant aesthetics make you feel like you’re eating in a Jonathan Adler store.

Cute breakfast spot right in the middle of a shop! This is in the Streeterville/ Gold Coast area. A little pricey (for breakfast) but very tasty. Recommend the pastry sampler as your starter! You can shop when you've finished your meal. Service is great and attentive. Recommend you put in a reservation #chicago #breakfast #brunch

Went out for a Friday lunch with friends to the Lunchroom. The space is very cute with the clothing area on the side, so I thought it was a fun, interesting concept- almost like a hidden gem in the area. I can't say I ordered too much, just one dish which was the Fall special. A brie and apple butter sandwich with brussel sprouts on the side. I would never get this dish again- I thought it lacked so much flavor and the side too was not tasty. I think it'd be better with actual apples and one extra cheese. I also noticed how steep the prices were on the menu for some very simple items. I likely wouldn't return here given this experience, but recommend others check it out to see for themselves!

Clean and bright space invites you in to dine on cafe style dishes. Avocado toast club was delicious and service was good. Did not try any sweets, but they looked good. While slightly pricey, it may not be an everyday lunch spot, but it's a nice treat yourself spot!

I recently stumbled upon a hidden gem that combines my favorite things - a cute cafe in an apothecary store. From the moment you step inside, you are welcomed with an apothecary with the modern appeal of a trendy café.I went there for a late brunch with a friend. And we ordered Avocado toast, Bangkok bowl, Cappuccino and Chaider tea. The tea has apple cider (which is quite healthy) but a bit too sweet for our taste and it was a part of a special menu. The star of the show, of course, is the Bangkok bowl. Even though on the menu it says SPICY. It wasn't spicy. Everything blended togther so well and nothing was overpowering. The chunky peanuts were adding it to the flavor. It was served with lime wedge which we didn't need to use as it was perfectly flavorful already. I can't help but sing praises for their avocado toast. The toast is perfectly toasted, with just the right amount of crunch, and the avocado spread is generously creamy, and they used the most perfectly ripen avocados. It was a bit on the expensive side as the cost was $20.95.But what truly sets this place apart is the apothecary element. The store boasts a wide range of herbs, teas, candles, skincare, stationary, and wellness products. Might add some therapeutic dimension to your visit. The service was overall satisfactory, with an attentive staff. Overall I will recommend The Lunchroom. Whether you're seeking a delicious brunch or natural remedies to enhance your well-being, this place offers the best of both worlds.

This is an attractive spot inside some kind of clothing boutique. I was not impressed with any aspect of my experience, which included a dog permitted to be in the inside dining area. He ate his lunch on the floor while I paid to eat mine next to him. The food consists of basic sandwiches and salads. I had the Santa Fe salad at $21. It had little flavor, was quite small, and was dressed with something (not sure what) that had no taste at all. There was no observable relation to Santa Fe other than some tired taco strips and a few black beans. The quite small Salad Nicoise came with green beans that were essentially raw (always a sign of a misguided sense of sophistication). Perhaps someone should provide management with a copy of Julia Child's recipe. With two glasses of wine, our bill was almost $100. The service was sluggish and impersonal. Indeed, our wine didn't even arrive until after our salads, and we had to ask for it almost 20 minutes after ordering it. Our waiter was replaced someone else mid-meal. There is, however, a small baking outlet at the entrance that offers very tasty treats.

AMAZING spot!! One of the best boutiques anywhere in the world. The owner is always there which ensures an exceptional experience. The vibe is markedly inclusive and warm. The clothing, decor, and food are truly unparalleled. Be sure to grab a nosh at the Lunchroom too!

I've ordered to-go quite a few times. Every pastry item I've tried was wonderful, esp. the almond croissants.

Food (5/5):- We ordered the Carolina bbq chicken flatbread and the avocado toast club. I also ordered an iced latte with oat milk- Carolina bbq chicken flatbread was delicious and generously portioned. I loved the tangy flavor of the bbq sauce, especially when paired with the cheese and red onions sprinkled on top. I would say it is shareable between two people.- Avocado toast club sandwich was also really delicious and refreshing. The avocado was so nicely creamy and refreshing. The bacon, chicken, and tomatoes complemented the avocado well. In terms of portioning, I would say it is best suited for only one person.- Iced latte was pretty standard. Nothing too special but I did enjoy the creaminess of itService (5/5):- It seemed that they were a bit understaffed but our server did his best and seemed apologetic when mistakes occurred. Overall, I have no complaints and thought they did a great jobAmbiance (5/5):- Very aesthetic restaurant. They have an store right next to the dining area where you can buy a bunch of special food items- Great for brunch with friends- I don't think I would bring a date here as it doesn't feel as intimate. It is very aesthetic though

Service was amazing!! We all loved our food. That said I loved the watermelon gazpacho My friend less so. But we both loved our shared salad nicoise. Two of our friends had the Bangkok bowl and loved it. And other friend had tuna sandwich which was a hit. Only open at lunch but truly great to take advantage of.

I was impressed by the freshness of the ingredients. I ordered Avocado BLT, and my husband had the avocado toast. They served generous amounts of avocado, and the tomato was sweet and delicious. It is a little expensive side for breakfast, but I think the quality is worth it.
