Shared 6 cocktails among the 3 people in our party. Collectively, there was only 1 we really liked (the telescope one). All 5 others were just kinda good or fine. All 3 of us are craft cocktail people and I can't say we've ever been to somewhere specializing in them where they were mostly disappointing.Food offerings were mostly just fine. Unfortunately, the chips and caviar was just a novety - not at all a good way to actually enjoy/taste caviar. Olives were a great, delicous option, though.Service was even worse, unfortunately. Our waitress disappeared halfway through our time there and was not seen again until we were leaving and we saw her socializing.Someone else finally started taking care of us, fortunately. He noticed we didn't have water (that was ordered immediately upon arrival with the waitress) and finally got us some. We'd been waiting to ask our waitress, but she was of course no where to be found.Unfortunately, due to our lack of waitstaff, when we finally got to place a dessert order (we were celebrating a birthday), the kitchen had just closed. As for atmosphere, it was nice, but the way the tables are set up (2 couches with a coffee table in the center) and the too loud music, you have to lean waaaay forward to attempt to hear the people across from you, which defeats the purpose of a comfortable couch to lounge on.Overall, really not the quality birthday experience I wanted for my wife.

The manager of this bar was an abhorrent horrible human being. The bartenders were very skilled and kind. And I’d generally support them. But the short-haired woman who I assume is their manager was a tyrant and soulless horrible human being. She wouldn’t disclose her name but disparaged me and my dying grandmother as if it was a joke to her. I understand that you might want to go home because your shift is over but to be crass and cruel toward me is inexcusable. You’re a terrible person and should never work in customer service. I’ll never return here.

When I went, I was disappointed they did not have their bird menu anymore. But the Worlds Fair menu was good and had a lot of info to read! Staff is great. Love the vibe, intimate and cozy.

The server was super rude. Our reservation was for 8:30 pm and we ordered our dessert at 10:05 pm which came out at 10:10. We loved the dessert so asked the server at 10:15 pm if we could order another dessert and she rudely declined saying that time was up! The dessert literally took 5 mins to come the first time so not sure why she declined. Even after we paid the check we had a good 10 minute time left for our reservation. The way you make people feel is the most important and this is not the way I wanted to feel after waiting for months to try this place. Will not be coming back!

Wow, we had the best experience here. I think it’s our new favorite place in Chicago. Draven is amazing, definitely order whatever he recommends. The drinks we got were delicious, unique, and balanced. The atmosphere is perfect for a cozy and intimate evening (during the week, can’t vouch for the weekend). The meadowlark was so much better than any other bar we have tried. I graduate nursing school next month and have decided this is where I absolutely want to celebrate. Love meadowlark!

Such a fun spot for drinks! Small speakeasy, get there early if you want a table or seat at bar. I believe you can make a reservation if you have at least a party of 4. Drink menu changes and you can purchase the menu and take it home!

The place: seats 16 or so. It's sexy. Dimly lit. It's possible I'm getting a little too old or cynical for some of the night outs that still present themselves to me, but more on that later. Service was helpful. We did have to wait about 30 mins to get in at 5:45pm on a Saturday night. Several couples came after us and were told they may have to wait three to four hours. The taste: we got Streets of Cairo, Yerkes Telescope, an off menu Old Fashioned, the caviar and the pimento dip. My streets of Cairo was a well done cocktail - actually all the cocktails were very solid. Balanced, with depth. Interesting ingredients. They all are $16 a piece and I can appreciate the craftsmanship, I'm just not sure I'm personally that interested in spending $100 on drinks and apps at this point in my life, but if you're good with that, and you're able to get in here, would definitely encourage trial. There was a small dollop of caviar on a generous spoonful of creme fraiche, though the proportions of creme fraiche to the chips was a little off. My face: a sort of indifferent expression plastered on my face. $117 with tax and tip for 3 drinks and 2 apps. Probably won't be back any time soon but had a nice date night out with my love.

Incredible speakeasy. I cannot recommend this place enough. This is by far my favorite place for a cocktail in Chicago.

Might be my new favorite bar in the city. Super interesting cocktail menu. Hard not to go overboard because they are all so tasty! Don't go if you have to be on it the next day ha

Such a cool spot to grab a drink and an app. Very small place (30 seats) so get there early. Loved it!

Try Tiffany's chapel if you like gin! The bar is very cool and menu is unique (they even have a cocktail with Mallort which we haven't try). The atmosphere is cozy and staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Perfect place for a date night or catch up with a friend.

So. There was another 2 person group that had come in before us, and after two hours, they were still there, but we got a notice we had to leave because it had been 2 hours. A time limit is 100% fine, but it should be for everyone…

Meh, when I came here when it opened I would have given it 5 stars. I loved the bird theme and the drinks the first time! I came here a second time recently and we made a reservation for 3 people and one person couldn't come last minute so they basically told us we would have to wait because they don't take reservations for less than 3 people (what? I made a reservation a year before for 2 people with no issue). Luckily a couple was waiting for a table and they seated us them as if we were a full group. Whatever. The menu changed (no longer bird themed which I thought was the best part of the bar in the first place) and the drinks weren't that great. I felt dumb because I hyped up this place with my friend from out of town and I don't know what happened. Oh well. I won't be back again which is a bummer.
