First of all, the place is very crowded because it is very popular. The employees, especially the Mexican ladies, are rude. We are traveling as tourists and we do not have to know the food in this place. The Mexican waitress was not helpful at all and took our orders in a hurry and we did not know what we chose. We said we don't eat pork, he brought a vegetarian, but he didn't take us seriously even though we said there was an omelet with cow meat. Of course, we were not happy and we did not like it, but the rude and insolent behavior of this waitress completely ruined our day.

For the past 35+ years I have been a consistent regular customer at this restaurant, for every family life celebration, BUT NOT AT THIS LOCATION; & specifically for the AMAZING APPLE PANCAKE. However, on this day my friend and I decided to dine in for breakfast and try a different menu item. I ordered the french toast and asked for fresh fruit on top, not expecting them to return with blueberry compote. I asked for the item to be removed from the bill, as it was not eaten. The manager Rebecca came to the table, said you don’t want this? As she picked up the food, she asked for the receipt then snatched the receipt OUT OF MY HAND, crumpled it, threw it into the food, and grabbed another small plate and turned it upside down throwing that onto the plate as well ,obviously causing racket and attention. Astonished, I said “that was rude”, as she displayed the most disgusting disrespectful behavior I have ever encountered. I grew up going to all of the different locations throughout the Chicagoland area, and have never experienced such rude and disrespectful treatment. She obviously does not like her job. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff’s friendly and respectful customer service was overshadowed by their manager Rebecca. FIND A DIFFERENT LOCATION TO DINE AT OR ORDER FROM!

My daughter’s volleyball team had a big travel tournament in Chicago and we wanted to have a team brunch before they began their first day. Because it was a large party, I called ahead a few days before and spoke with Armando who assured me that he would assist in fitting us all in for Friday brunch. I then called about 15 minutes before our arrival the day of and they sounded busy! Armando, again said he would make room for us. We arrived to a super long line, but Armando ushered us in (in 3 groups since our party was big, which was totally ok) and seated us! We had delicious food, fast and friendly service AND the team went undefeated that day! Was it the breakfast? Maybe!!!! Thank you Armando!!!

Awesome breakfast! I had the Dutch treat and a treat it was! Very soft and fluffy and comes with a strawberry syrup that is quite fantastic. My wife got the oven baked omelette and it took was very very good. Great size portions. What was really interesting was how fast you get your food. Mine was a specialty make so it took about 15 minutes but if you go with eggs or pancakes or omelettes, you get your food in minutes! The wait time wasn't too bad. There was two of us, about the 4th group in line and were at a table in about 10 minutes at 9:30 on a Saturday morning. Not too shabby. I'd highly recommend this place for a filling and delicious breakfast.

I had a GrubHub pick up and had to wait over 30 mns and the food was supposed to be ready for pickup. Everyone else that came in received theirs with no error, unfortunately I had to wait for the order longer than expected and lowered my percentage.Nobody cares I knowI still have a right to tell my experienceCrappy!!!!!

I am NOT a chain person but convenience trumped! After reading the history, I'm impressed and happy I chose this spot. This is an old diner-style spot. I had the build your own skillet with feta, broccoli, jalapeños and spinach. It was fresh and delicious and perfectly spicy. The server was so fast on those coffee pours. Betcha I drank an entire pot. Oooopppps! History: This spot was started in 1953 in Portland, Oregon by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke. It is currently a second and third generation family business, maintaining those old ingredient standards. These are required....93 score butter, pure 36% whipping cream, and fresh grade AA eggs, along with their special recipe sourdough starter. Today, there are over one hundred-thirty restaurants worldwide, each with its own menu, owned privately and designed uniquely.
