Heard great things about this place from a couple people so was excited to be able to stop in on a cold evening. It was packed when we went around 830pm on a Saturday and they told us it would be a 20-30 min wait, but luckily there's a bar attached with some free board games so the wait passed quickly. Once we were seated, we did appreciate the nice ambience and very cushiony seats of the booth we were in. We got the bread service to start which was disappointing - just cold slices of thick bread with not very strong garlic butter. Warm bread would have been much better. Overall the pasta was delicious though (and came with bread anyway) - it came out fresh and hot and loaded with cheese (fyi remember to bring your lactaid). I got the signature farfalle pollo and my partner the chicken parmesan. The portions are definitely huge and we each took home about half our meals as leftovers. A little pricey but reasonable for the neighborhood.

Always my favorite place to visit when I come to the city! Been coming here since 99 and everything is always so consistently great. You truly feel the love and comfort in every pasta dish!Kid-friendliness: Rainbow pasta! Yay!

I had the conchigie al fuso the vodka sauce was on the sweet side which was nice. Pasta was a little too al dente for my liking. Since I did order this through uber eats i am not surprised it is a little oily. The chicken was a little dry but well salted. Personally, i'm a big fan of cheese. But in this case it was a little tough. Also not enough sauce. All the vegetables were cooked well except for the peppers which were under but if you like crunchy then it's for you. I also had the tortellini crema- very good! It was the perfect balance of smooth and rich. You are able to taste the velvety texture of the ricotta with a kick and the end of pecorino and parmesan. If you like cheese you must try it. The house sauce was very good over all very satisfied.

Ordered twice from this place. Loved the food both times. Amazing quantity and very delicious but i think there is an issue with the quality of the food. My husband and I both got sick and came down with issues both times. The first time we thought it was something else but the same issues happened the second time around. Taste is great but wont be going back or ordering again.

This is really hard to review. I ordered today for delivery as it had been recommended from Multiple folks and while the meals were good- each pasta dish had a hair in it! When I found the one in my dish I tried to overlook it (honestly things happen) but when my husband pulled one out of his dish that was it for me. How do you end up with hairs in 2 separate dishes? Now I'm concerned about the cleanliness. The meals were seasoned wonderfully and portions are great but Check your dishes for hairs. I put the Strand of hair is on white plastic bag to see in photo. After i pulled it off my fork.

The Pasta Bowl is a great spot for pasta in Chicago. I got the Farfalle Pollo, the signature dish, and the flavor was very good. There was a bit much sauce so the last several bites were too much. I also tried two of the gnocchi dishes and I definitely prefer the farfalle. Lastly, I had to try the Oreo Dream Bar for only $3 and it was good but not necessary. The service was really good and they quickly sat us down in the packed restaurant. The atmosphere was nice booths and tables on one side with the kitchen and a bar and more tables on the other side. A good place for pasta in Chicago, but for now I just give 4 stars.

Terrible food. had to adjust my review. They basically gave me plain pasta noodles. salad was missing cheese. Broccoli was overcooked (most likely frozen). Ordered the dish one time before and it was much higher quality. Not sure if this is the normal quality or my prior order was lucky accident.

We stopped in for dinner around 7:30 and were seated promptly. The fried ravioli along with some happy hour beers were a great start to our meal. My partner had the fettuccine al diablo and it definitely brought the heat. I had the capellini pomodoro and it was the perfect fresh tomatoey/garlicky pasta I was craving. The service and the food were awesome and I wish we lived in town so we could frequent this local joint more often!
