Pretty solid Chinese take out. They also have a decent size dine in area. I had the General Tso chicken. I asked for extra spicy and was a bit disappointed in the spice level. The chicken itself was good. I tried to get the white rice updated to a small chicken fried rice but instead I got a large Chicken fried rice which upped my order cost considerably. The fried rice was also good. Nothing was too greasy, but Also with all of these crazy good reviews I kind of expected more. Maybe some of the other dishes are the go to. I am still in search of exceptional General Tso chicken... My search goes on.

Good beef chop suey, shrimp fried rice, and egg rolls, hard to find street parking, take out or sit down.

We ordered $70 in food from this place and not one single item tasted good. They all tasted like oil, soy sauce, and had weird textures. I'm so sad. We don't even get next-day leftovers because none of it is worth saving. I don't see how the previous posts can say this tastes great and I hate leaving reviews like this, but this was too disappointing to not warn people.

I ordered beef chow fun and they straight up gave me something that doesn’t look like chow fun; which is just beef and veggies with noodles.

My family has been coming here since way before I was born. This is the only Chinese food restaurant I order from! The best and I love that they already know my order every time. Tony’s is a family tradition basically in our household.

I have been going to Tony's since I was 6 years old. My Family knows the owners for 40 years since they opened. The food is so good and comforting. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want good tasting Chinese food.

Beef Peapods with onions were way too bland, slimmy and gelatinous; the whole family stunned. Everything else was perfect and with great portions! We loved the orange chicken, potsticker?, egg foo young and the beef fried rice was delicious.#

I've put off writing this review for years out of fear of blowing up my secret spot, but I can no longer allow my greed to get in the way of well-deserved praise. Everyone thinks their local Chinese restaurant is the best around. Unfortunately, everyone except me and the other 5-star reviewers is incorrect. Tony's may have an unconventional name and an unassuming location, but make no mistake - it's a top notch establishment serving some of the best Chinese food you'll find in the greater Chicagoland area. Crewed by a small, hard-working team of people that commute every day to/from Chinatown, this place somehow manages to do everything right - but there are three things that simply must be mentioned. First - and this will come as no surprise since you likely saw it at the top of the popular choices - the eggroll. There is much room for interpretation in the humble eggroll, but Tony's has truly perfected it. The tasteful ratio of vegetables to barbecued pork is remarkable in its own right- but it's the unexpected kiss of peanut sauce that makes this an appetizer worth writing home about. Or meal. I've been there. I won't judge. They're crispy, savory, and - thanks to steady demand - always made fresh. Second - the Hot & Sour Soup. This is another item that seems to be different just about everywhere you go, and again - Tony's has managed to find the best way to do it. If you've ever been turned off by this style of soup on account of it being too much of either of its advertised traits, I implore you to give it another shot here. This soup is so well balanced that you might never order Egg Drop again. A hearty cure for what ails ya - whether that be a cold, Chicago winter blues, or a simple deliciousness deficiency. I'm proud to have ordered this enough times that upon seeing my wife and I, Vicky, the friendly front-of-house lady, just smiles and asks, "Soup?" You're the best, Vicky. And yes, soup. Please. Last, but not least, the Hong Kong Style Chow Fon. Tired of the usual suspects like Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, or General Tso's? Give this a try! The fragrant combination of ginger, scallions, and onion in this stir-fried noodle dish immediately earned it a spot in our usual order. Hot tip - ask them for a longer cook on the noodles. The crispy edges make this already great meal downright exceptional. Just be clear about the cook. Asking for "crispy noodles" might just get you a side of those squiggly crouton-style dealies. An honest mistake. Still ate 'em. In closing, whether you're satisfying a take-out craving or sitting among the silly giraffe wall decals, watching Wheel of Fortune on the one TV in the joint, Tony's is a charming source for delicious, unique flavors that are sure to knock your socks off. And hey - if a child or childlike adult in your life turns their nose up at Chinese food, there's always the American Menu (fish sticks and fries). P.S. A couple things to be aware of - they prefer not to take American Express (due to fees that affect their bottom line) and they get VERY busy during the weekend take-out rush, so plan accordingly and show some love to a family-run business that clearly puts a lot of love into their craft. You'll be a regular in no time. Oh, and hot mustard packets are by request only. It's great on the eggroll, don't forget it.
