Their credit card machine wasn’t working. We got one dabeli just to try and the total was $6.13. She said they only take cash (when we give $11 in cash) she continues to say that she doesn’t have any change, I handed her a quarter since I didn’t have thirteen cents. Instead of just charging $6 she took the quarter too and didn’t give rest of the change. Then when we get the dabeli it was below average.

This place will literally send you a blended mash of kale and spinach and Collett a smoothie and sell for nine dollars.

Subpar food, and even worse management. Check out the reviews to see how ignorant the management and owners are.

I went there for the first time and order Pani puri and veg cheese sandwich. Pani puri was really nice with ample amount of fluid, although they could have given more chutney. Sandwich was nice too and was big enough as a meal for me.Will definitely come here again and try out other things. Its walking distance from UIC.Vegetarian options: lots of vegetarian options which you can find in any Indian chaat place.

I had an intense craving for ragada pattice and showed up at tuk tuk not knowing much about the place and they did not disappoint. It was authentic and took me back to the streets of Bombay with every bite! The Bombay sandwich and pau bhaji were excellent too. We ate with relish in great hurry and didn’t take pics, I’ll be back again very soon!

Worst food I’ve ever had. The service workers were rude, the vada pav was a joke, I’ve eaten at so many Indian places in the Midwest, nowhere in my life I’ve seen such cheaply made vada pavs, they were like cheap White Castle sliders! The chutney they use is watered down, there a literal roaches inside of the establishment.Sad to see places like this to add to the stigma that the Indian food is unhygienic.EDIT: Added photos

I absolutely loved the flavors at Tuk Tuk Indian Restaurant! Every dish was bursting with authentic taste. The service was top-notch, and the staff made us feel truly welcome. Kudos to the team! I can't stop raving about the ambiance – it's so vibrant and inviting. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat. The aroma alone was irresistible!

WORST FREAKING RESTAURANT. These people lost my order, then proceeded to make my dasher wait 2 hours only to tell her that they cannot make my order. The manager called me and told me to cancel the order, and reorder, I did that, and book then these people ghosted me. The situation was so bad that DoorDash had to intervene, and he’ll me getting my $100 back. The owner is rude and you can see other reviews for the same. And just in case they call this a fake review, I’m attaching screenshots

Skip the peri peri fries. Waste of money. There's no peri peri sauce or anything just potatoes.Chole batura is nice. Not too many chickpea in the chole but the masala and taste is nice.

Tuk Tuk Indian was a great place to get some authentic Indian food. We went in there for lunch and got some nice dishes and the chicken and cheese paratha was THE dish for me. The Chole Bhature was good as well, might recommend some hot sauce for a tad more heat. They do have condiments and utensils available as well if you need them. Can’t forget about that mixed berry smoothie either! Make sure to stop by this place if you come to Chicago you won’t be disappointed!

Tuktuk was fantastic, offering the best samosa chaat as prepared by the talented Bombay chef. The restaurant boasts an eclectic ambiance with charming decor, providing a comfortable respite during work breaks. Conveniently located just two blocks from Rush, its extensive menu caters to lovers of both North and South Indian cuisine, making it a popular haunt for many. As an American Indian and a doctor at Rush in need of a cozy spot to unwind and satisfy my Indian food cravings, Tuktuk was a perfect choice. The main concierge, though a student, impressed with her professionalism and friendly demeanor, making her a delight to converse with.
