I love our Valentine Day tradition at White Castle, but not at Homer Glen, IL location. It was our first time back since the pandemic. But it was my worst Valentine experience in the ten years we have been going to White Castle for this special event. AND SPECIAL IT WAS NOT!! Each year we try a new store for the annual Valentine dinner and this year was Homer Glen's turn. What a disappointment! I've seen small parties decorated better and more to a theme than this store was decorated. There was no Valentine fancy dinner ambiance. No dimmed lighting like other stores have done. Not even a photo area with a backdrop on the wall. So sadly, we didn't take any pictures. No one greeted us at the door and the place was a shambles. It looked worse than a Chuck E Cheese on a bad night. Granted it was 8 o'clock, but still. After we waited for a table and finally sat ourselves, it was another 5-6 minutes before a "server" came to take our order. This person was an incompetent order taker and I had to repeat the order 3 times for each person (there were 4 of us). First thing we asked was if there were shakes available. He said yes. It was 8:30 and the shake machine closes at nine. By 8:55 we still had not received even our drinks and finally someone (I think he was the brightest one there) came out and asked us what our order was. We were a little agitated but we repeated it angrily and then he said " sorry, too late for shakes" the first item on our list. After that 2 other immature high schoolers came out to get the order and laughed when we were upset that it was taking so long for our order and how the error occurred.While waiting for our fast (ha-ha) food I asked for the manager whom I barely saw thru the big kitchen window. She came out, heard our story, gave an insincere apology and offered us some coupons. COUPONS?? as if I might come back. We finally got our meal, 45 minutes after ordering it, that was the only thing that replicated a fine dining experience, the wait!After we hungrily ate, but didn't enjoy, the brighter one came out seeing our disgust, comped our meal. Which was nice but didn't change our unpleasant experience. I will return to White Castle next Valentine Day and thru-out the year, but NEVER AT THE HOMER GLEN location. Poor management!!

I'm giving you ZERO stars!!!!!!One day last week I visited the White Castle at 306 W. North Ave. in Villa Park,Illinois and the so called Manager name Jason (which is probably not his real name), was rude, un-accommodating and unprofessional. White Castle has a huge sign on their door, suggesting all customers, down-load their app for faster service, which I attempted to do; however, once I arrived at the window, this young would not accept my order, he would not give me the password for the wi-fi (which I used my Hotspot) and he walked away from the window, left me sitting there and would not give me the name or phone number, to your cooperate office. I took photos but I am having a hard time uploading the files here. If you send me your email address, I will forward them to you.If he is truly your manager, he is dispicable and needs to be retrained (sensitivity training) immediately. If he does not like assisting the public, he needs to find a new job.The owner of this franchise needs to consider being an UNDERCOVER BOSS and check on this facility because with this type of customer service, this franchise will be closing soon.If you offer your customers items, GIVE IT TO THEM! My time is just as valuable as the next person and I DO NOT appreciate being treated in that manner.I need to hear from cooperate, so we can straighten this matter out before others bombard you with similar emails.Elaine SpencerElmhurst, Il.60126

Very slow on 79th they move without urgency to get customers in and out. Don't fullfil online ordering. Asked for the manager no response from worker. Had to call corporate for assistance

We went inside to the Store on 95th and Cicero in Oak Lawn. It smelled like a dirty mop immediately after walking in. Half of the employees were wearing masks under their noses the others no mask at all. Some hair nets others not. The cashier took off his hat and shook his long hair out right by the egg station and cash register. Absolutely filthy!

Excuse me White Castle, why do I have to drive 10 miles to get to you? Can you please look into opening a location near Elgin, IL. South Elgin would be perfect, it would be in the middle of all the surrounding suburbs. Thanks!

When WC changed their buns to large doughy ones the taste of their burgers changed. They are just another “slider” now. The original buns were dark, thin, mushy and melted right into the burgers and allowed them to steam perfectly and they were piping hot.
