The waiter was very rude with the blonde braided wig with the headband. They brung my out cold. The manger over charged my bill. Then when I ask the waiter to correct it she walked off and said she didn’t do it very rude and the food was disgusting. I don’t recommend anyone to come here. I would rate them a 0 if I could. In my total for eggs and cheese and a side a grits was $18.17. HORRIBLE

We ate here twice on a recent trip to Chicago. We had the opportunity to have breakfast and lunch. If you want a quintessential diner meal I recommend White Palace. The servings are large and the service is quick and attentive.

Despite the busy intersection the place was very quiet and offered an intimate atmosphere. I was greeted and seated immediately and food was out very quickly.Chicken noodle soup was great and I'm not a soup person.Fries were perfectly crispy and great dipped in ranch and A1.A1 burger was pretty big but cooked perfectly.Very positive experience all round and will come back if I'm ever in Chicago again.

First time dining here came because of the association with food Network very disappointing. We came around 4pm the restaurant was very stuffy not busy at all the cook was actually sitting at the counter with a few other employees. I ordered a French dip, it was just meat and bread, (most french dips I've had came with cheese or at least offered as an option)the meat tasted freezer burnt it was cold in some places hot in others with no sear marks so I'm guessing it was warmed in microwave. My husband ordered a ribeye steak sandwich "deluxe" the deluxe is an additional charge and is supposed to come me with lettuce pickles and fries they omitted the lettuce so he also got just meat and bread the steak was poorly seasoned definitely not worth 26$ my daughter had a cheeseburger it was average. nothing tasted fresh. Will not be coming back, Save your money for portillos.
My waitstaff person which was guy ( I was there Sunday evening) was fantastic. The food was delicious.

I gave it 5 stars but yesterday I went to eat with my husband and the lady who served us only took one order of food from what we ordered and they didn't make mine, but the food is delicious, yes, I recommend it for that reason, but Specify what you want so that you do not go without eating if there are several in the group.
