Came in for a quick bite and we were told "25 minutes wait". We thought, not a problem, the main room where live music takes place was pretty full and the secondary room was half full so we thought 25 minutes would be that or less, we waited about 45 minutes, We noticed the restaurant was VERY short handed so once we were seated we had to wait for another 15 minutes for service, once the order was placed, it took good 35-40 minutes to have our food on the table, we were missing utensils and we had to wait some more for someone to show up, by them the food was getting cold. The food itself was good, the NOISE level was to LOUD for a conversation. Understand that this is new management, Mariscos El Asador better get help quick or people will find another place really quick. Cicero and the SW side of Chicago have some GREAT restaurant

So this is not Lobo del mar anymore, didnt notice until they gave us the menu's. But we still stayed, to try it. We were hungry and craving seafood. Waitress had a stale face, whole time. Forgot our beverages, eating utensils and napkins. Food did take a while. And it was not good. I got langostinos dinner and the portion was fine, the salad was fresh, the fries were good. The garlic bread was harder than softer and a bit bland. The rice had no flavor, but I was ok withthat since the langostinos come in a sauce. But the sauce wasnt good. Not spicy at all. I ate 2 langostinos only. Another plate was the Camarones a la diabla, u tasted the chipotle right away but then it just had a ketchup after taste, they were sweeter. As oppsed to being spicy. The garlic bread on this plate was super hard. Ordered tacos and the meat looked very dark. And they missed the cilantro on one. The meat had mostly fat and the tacos are on the smaller side. Ordered chicken tenders and we were given chicken nuggets with fries that resembles Mcds. The horchata was good. The chips and ceviche were good. But the chips were way too salty. The ceviche only has tomato i think. The salsas were good. But they were given to us in these small styrofoam cups, which was wierd. Such a big restaurant and this is what you serve on ?...i looked around and noticed a table next to us had the normal plastic black ones. Oh and the table that came in after us was served before us. Just all around bad experience. Would we be back ?... No.

not the same cooks that Lobos had. We walked in thinking it was Lobos de Mar. We will not be coming back that's for sure. As you can see my camarones a la diabla had so much grease. Normally it is red sauce this was all tomatoe sauce. .
The food here is pretty good has a lot of fish options but there are some meat options as well. There's also music that's provide, the music usually start around 9 or 10. Overall good experience and a enjoyable place to go with your family.

Great flavors and friendly staff! We walked in on a snowy evening and were greeted and served promptly. The staff made sure we had a wonderful dining experience. We look forward to visiting again soon!

This restaurant is the same physical location as Lobo Del Mar but new ownership took over and named it Mariscos El Asador (I think the Lobo / wolf logo is still on the building). If I'm not mistaken, I ate there right before the transition and shortly thereafter. I think they are still trying to get the new sign up and website changed. They do have Facebook pages under the new name. Food and experience was great both times, I don't have complaints We had a big party each time (both for birthday celebrations) and then my husband and I went one night before the action picked up (I didn't mind - I like a quiet dinner experience.) I've tried the big parrillas, seafood and some cool chicharron thing. Food was great each time. They had a singer this last time. She was great. Fun atmosphere and some of us even got up to dance a little bit. Overall, good experience.
