This is another one of those nice family owned dairy queen stores. Friendly service, hot food, and great ice cream. Unlike the corporate owned dq stores, this store has many extra toppings and flavors for you blizzard's and sundaes. So be sure to swing in for at least a sundae while traveling on route 49.
Dairy Queen has reinvented itself over and over again, from Brazier to to DQ Restaurant to the new Grill 'n Chill stores. The Cissna Park, Illinois outlet proves that you shouldn't mess with the best. The familiar Dairy Queen logo lures Route 49's motorists into the diminutive shack that serves up American classics like Peanut Buster Parfaits, Blizzards, and Dilly Bars. Stopped as we were making our way home from a weekend in Indiana. A couple of blizzards can only make the drive a little better. At least that's our rationale lol. The owner took care of us. Very friendly.
