I first had their rajas con queso tamales 3 years ago and I have not stopped thinking about how absolutely delicious they were. So, I went again 2 weeks ago and bought all the ones they had made. The masa is so flavorful and does not compare to any tamales that I've had in the past. In the past, very bland flavor with the masa and that would set the tone for a bland tamale, but La Chicanita's tamales, at least the rajas con queso, are bursting with flavor. A wide selection of delicious Mexican treats! A self serve experience, so if you don’t speak a lick of Spanish it’s no problem. The staff was very nice and their pan dulces were delicious and cheap, I got 4 large pastries for only $6. Will definitely come again.
