It’s a nice coffee shop. I grabbed a latte to go for $6, which was served quickly. They also had souvenir cups available, but they were a bit pricey at $25.

Conscious Cup delivers on all fronts. From the moment you walk in the door, you are pleasantly and intentionally greeted. The baked goods are delicious and they have a wonderful selection of freshly roasted beans for all tastes. I grabbed a pour over when I was here last, and it was delicious and perfectly balanced! Great place to relax with a chai tea latte or other delicious selections. Also has a drive through. Excellent quality food and drinks and wonderful baristas who are always friendly. 5 stars!

So, are we just opening and closing at random times now? The last two times I’ve gone, either they closed during the week at 2, and today (Sunday), they were closed when I went at 1:45. This is getting really old and unacceptable for a business.

Their coffee is great, absolutely love it, but I'm not sure if it's just my bad luck or bad timing, but the past 5 visits there have been disappointing.I mostly go for their sandwiches, and again, maybe it's bad timing because I usually come in Friday or Saturday mornings, but every time I come in for one reason or another they don't have the sandwich I want (Two Birds). Either they ran out of ingredients for the sandwich, or they don't have it all, period. And it's not just the Two Birds, they cross out half of the sandwiches on their menu these past several times I've come in- it's strange and very discouraging as I go there mostly for the sandwiches.Again, maybe bad timing, but it's one thing if this was a once or twice incident. No, this has been the issue for the past 5 visits I've been there (within the past month) and now I don't even want to bother coming in just to be disappointed once more ??♀️ I hate writing reviews like this but.. damn, I had to comment.

My mornings aren’t complete without a trip to Conscious CL! Best dark roast in town, love their traditional macchiato and vegicado breakfast sandwich!

This is a review I wasn't excited to write about because I really like supporting local. The stars should be less, but I am hoping this is just a short term negative. I've gotten sick from food here twice. I guess it could have been from the coffee drink, but not as likely. The reason I know it was from their food was both times I ordered the same thing and it was two weeks apart, and hadn't eaten anything else before or after for hours. To add onto why I'm giving 3 stars is because there is one particular Barista who has such an attitude. I've been unfortunate to get him almost every time out of the six times I've come here to this location. I thought maybe it was me, but I see the way he treats other patrons when they order so it's across the board. Sometimes people need help figuring out what is in a drink. Just be nice and help them. Don't make them feel dumb by rolling your eyes or giving short answers. This is Crystal Lake, not New York City! The rest of the baristas have been lovely. Otherwise the location is nice. Decent amount of parking and cute interior with lots of Lounge seating. If you use the drive through, give yourself and the baristas time.
