I catered a mix of chicken and steak fajitas for 50 adults, 15 cheese quesadillas, and a bunch of chips and salsa for my mom's 50th Birthday. It came with a full tray of rice and a full tray of beans. We received enough food to feed at least 100 people (I'll be eating fajitas all week), and they were the best priced out of the places I called. All the guests raved about the food. They were particularly impressed with the quality of the fajita meat. For me, it was the beans that stole the show. Everyone keeps asking me for the name of this place, saying they'll make the 45 minute drive from Belvidere to try it out.

We’ve ordered take out here a couple of times and now were able to eat indoors. Always good solid Mexican food with the traditional selection of food & Mexican beers. Prices are decent & we will definitely be back here again.

The food was fine. However the ratings had my hopes a lot higher. We ordered the chicken nachos. Steak tacos, ground beef tacos and a taco salad everything was reasonably tasty but I was expecting more of a wow factor based on the 4 plus yelp rating. The service was wonderful and very safe in light of this pandemic. Pick up only. Oh and if you want spicy salsa or hot sauce you need to request it. All included salsa is mild.

Had the chicken enchilada dinner, also tried the steak tacos. Everything was fresh and delicious. The salsa and hot sauce were great, too! I really enjoyed how the carne asada was cooked and the amount of cilantro on the taco. The corn tortillas were perfect. Finally found a good place for tacos and enchiladas since moving from San Diego. Thank you!!

By far, the BEST Mexican food in crystal lake. All of the servers are great, and the cooks are ALWAYS on point. My family and I came in yesterday for lunch and Gabriella was our server. She was very nice and has a great attitude! HIGHLY recommend!

If you are looking for the best authentic Mexican food in Crystal Lake look no further. The fajitas here are killer and the giant burritos are amazing. Can't go wrong with any choice of meat as they are all cooked to perfection and loaded with flavor. Have been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

Great little place for some authentic Mexican located in downtown Crystal Lake. The waitress was extremely nice and helpful, and the food was served quickly. I definitely recommend their tacos al pastor and their steak gordita, Enjoy!
I'm kinda obsessed with tacos. My husband and I travel the country visiting national parks....and taco joints. Coast to coast. This is our favorite Mexican restaurant (with the exception of a taco stand in Encinitas, CA). Aside from being delicious, I love that Las Cumbres is family owned and operated. Their steak and fish tacos are my favorite. Perfection!!!!

This is our absolute favorite taco/burrito place around. We live about 35 minutes away, but there's nothing my man loves more than the food here. Great, friendly service and good prices. This is a nice little hole in the wall type place that's casual and definitely worth checking out. I'll be honest, we only get steak so I can't personally recommend anything otherwise. But seriously, try their steak anything and you'll be pleasantly surprised. Sodas are out of a cooler whether in a can or bottle (selection primarily Jarritos), and for some reason I feel that's helpful to mention. Stop reading this and go. You'll enjoy it.
