It's your typical small town bar. The patrons here are an eclectic mix which is good, but it's a bit of a cramped environment.The bar staff was wonderful, the food is just OK, but overall we had a good visit.

My wife and I had dinner on Saturday, March 23 at The Cottage in Crystal Lake before a show at the Raue Center. It's a pub atmosphere. Very nice. They brought us popcorn and peanuts while we viewed the menu. Had the Saturday special, 6 oz. filet with a baked potato, mushrooms, broccoli, bread roll. Steak was perfectly cooked and tender. Potato was best I've had in a long time. My wife had the steak salad. Steak was thinly cut and tender. All in all, meal was delicious and perfectly portioned.

I called with an unexpected request, when I knew they were busy— I wanted to surprise my family with a round of drinks, on me (the person on the phone). I was so appreciative that they didn’t dismiss me, they took care to make sure they understood the order and who it went to, and were so incredible the whole time. My family got the drinks and were so excited. Thank you so much to your amazing staff on 3/14/24!! Thank you for going above and beyond!

Excellent food. Only one server/bartender so service was very slow. But the lady working was getting the job done very well.
The service is great, the food is amazing, and the Atmosphere is friendly and typically what you expect from a simple irish tavern. Difference is... the pizza is absolutely amazing. As a regular we get it religiously. I'd say it'd be worth a family dinner trip from Chicago on one of their event nights! Or, go in Tuesday for their half price pizzas. Best combo's ever.Parking: Usually packed during FRI-SUN and TUE nights or during major sports games, street parking alongside the nearby bank, and the place shares a parking lot with the antique shop and candy store.
