Stopped for a Bagel today 3/23/24. Service was a little slow even with 4 employees. Their mouths were moving faster than their hands. I’ve notice this happens when it’s all young men working. One came from the back to announce that Tim had left to which all cheered. If you go M-F you get better service.

This was my first experience this past week and I'm sad I haven't been here before. Walking in, it's much bigger than anticipated and boy do they have a large selection. I got the campfire coffee, iced and it was delicious. I also got an egg and cheese with ham on a garlic bagel, a hash brown and a cinnamon roll. Everything tasted so good! The cinnamon roll tasted homemade, not sure if it is or not but it was the best I've had in I don't even know how long. The associates up front were all friendly and genuine. The atmosphere is so nice; very quaint.

very good bagels. super tasty bagel sandwiches. very bad coffee. suspiciously moldy-smelling coffee. coffee that doesn't taste good no matter what you put in it. creamer that's so expired it comes out in a thick lump and plops into your already questionable coffee like a chunk of lard. I really cannot emphasize how thoroughly and consistently, like over the years, the coffee has just been BAD. but I always looked the other way because I love this place so much. but oh man, the creamer incident. I tossed my coffee in the bathroom. just the empty cup smells like mold after. blegh

A decent little coffee shop in downtown DeKalb. I've never had any of the food--but they seem to have a diverse menu. The coffee is fine and seating is just about enough.

Walked in and staffed just looked us. Stood there for 10 minutes and never actually greeted or asked for order even though we were standing at the counter. Also very unappealing that there is microwaves all throughout the back that you can see. All their food is just microwaved and didn’t seem appealing at all. We walked out and will not be back for terrible service.
Our family has been a big fan of Barb City Bagels for years. Our favorites are their salt bagels and blueberry. We love sitting inside, enjoying our breakfast while reading the newspaper.

Had the Lox/cream cheese Bagel. Fantastic! Huge, reasonable prices. Great Coffee! WIFI.

I used to enjoy stopping here, but lately they keep messing up my very simple order (bagel and cream cheese). I guess I'll just start going somewhere else from now on.

Absolutely delicious breakfast at great prices. Hard to get a better bagel around the area, and always fresh. Parking isn't the closest if you can't get something on the street, but you can park around the block and walk back, it's not too bad, and it's worth walking a little bit for. They're also happy to do larger orders with some notice if you need breakfast for a group of people or a workplace. Friendly staff and supports a local business as well.
