Went there today as they were opening (we were the first customers in) with the boyfriend for a little date. It was our first time there, and wanted to grab some lunch before heading to work. I ordered the steak quesadilla and my partner ordered a streak wrap. We sat at the bar, and there were about 5 customers inside the restaurant at that point when our food was brought out. The food, especially the steak meat itself was phenomenal. The service from the bartender was excellent as well, he was very attentive, genuine and provided excellent service. However, the sticking point for us was, we could hear the men in the kitchen having very loud conversations, cursing, dropping f-bombs, laughing, just sounded like they were goofing off. The language used did not fit the restaurant! The restaurant was clean and visually pleasing, but overhearing those cooks speaking fowl language at such a high volume was not only disrespectful but also very trashy. I am a customer experience manager in retail, and that would never fly in our workplace. My partner also has previous restaurant experience and he too was shocked. Food was delicious, but no one wants to overhear consistent f-bombs, fowl language, and music blasting from someone's phone from the kitchen. I don't believe we'll be coming back.

This was the perfect adult experience ruined by my own kids. If I could rate the atmosphere higher, I would. It was very beautifully designed. Plates were pretty, but small, heavy silverware is NOT kid friendly. The food was very good. Simple, well thought out, minimal "fluff" because it didn't need extra small details to be good! I'm very interested in what summer options they will offer. I know a college town gets college servers, but I wish they had trained the server a bit better. We were given water glasses/no straws for small children when kids' cups were available. They give small plates for hors d'oeuvres or bread, but the service was so slow I don't think we would have made it to a meal if we ordered one!Side was wrong, wrong sauce given (at table near us too), and accompaniment for meal was forgotten. The host sat us with crayons, and the kids menu had great options. They are well equipped for kids, but don't do it, Mama! Enjoy the fancy looking and crafted drinks with friends so you can enjoy this place! Go with no timeline, relax instead of having somewhere to be, order the courses, and ask for the sauce or mistake correction.Parking: Parking was a walk from entrance, closer parking was resident onlyKid-friendliness: Kids menu had all the right options, crayons with the kid menu. Kid cups available. Wish we would have been offered a booster chair. Lunch/non-drinking hours would be best for this place, large antique dresser in women's room (changing table?) that I avoided using.

Excellent restaurant, they are definitely a popular choice. I am sure that they will have to expand. Food is outstanding.

Ordered the chicago beef and it was super greasy. Just not what I expected. The name is a chicago beef I didn't think it was going to be served on sourdough with like potroast shredded beef. Husband got the hot honey chicken I thought it was good but he didn't the chicken was tough there was bearly any cabbage/slaw on it. The fries and garlic aoli were good but can't really mess those up. Sweet potato tots could have been cook little longer and I asked for jalapeño sweet potato tots and I didn't taste any jalapeño.Oh yea and 4$ colas for take out are kinda ridiculous especially for the size.

You'll have a hard time picking something from the menu because everything is so good! Has good variety on the menu and service is very attentive. Parking can be hard, I suggest the public lot behind the unitarian church on Locust St. Great experience overall!

Placed order 03-02-2024. Upon opening the order when I arrived home, I saw that the chicken was spoiled and the fruit was not fresh at all. The fruit was spoiled and warm. Very odd. When you claim that the fruit is fresh, it at least needs to come cold, not warm. This was our first time ordering from your restaurant and are extremely disappointed with the quality of food served to us. Very poor quality of food.

Server was friendly and attentive. Chips and dip were tasty. Wine was delish. Charcuterie board needed lots more flavor. Meatloaf (very crumbly) and mashed potatoes were way too salty, but the greens beans were perfection.

We went here when it opened and one of our dishes was literally inedible. We decided to try again. Food was good. Service was good. Nice atmosphere. The reason for only 4 stars is access to the restaurant. We had a handicapped person in our group. We parked on Locust in handicap parking. One of us went ahead to see if the ramp or stairs would be better. The door was marked deliveries only. Tapped on window with no response. To get to the real door, one needs to walk along the elevated walkway around the corner to about the middle of the block. Or go down the stairs and walk around. This is hard for a person with limited mobility on a good day. The day we were there both walks were snow covered. The upper walk was also drifted and uneven.

A lovely place for a meal or a drink- the seared tuna salad is delicious. Nice selection of local beers.
