The owner has always been awesome to me and Mehgan. The quality of food is unbelievable for a hotdog in gyro joint. For a quick bite to eat, I would definitely recommend Tom and Jerry’s. I like the euro on a pita, and I like it grilled so it’s well done. I also like their salads and subs. Really you can’t go wrong here.

Italian beef and Reuben sandwich. Both excellent. Fries were so so. Had a bad experience last time at their other location and left a poor review. This time a good experience so I owed them a good review and they earned it.

Haven't been in a long time and I always used to order from here. Recently started working in town again and picked up lunch for myself and my HR director. The guy was rude to me ,I asked for extra crackers for both soups I got 4 packs, asked for extra mayo on side got none. Don't think I'll visit this location again. Busy or not you don't act that way towards a customer.

They have totally turned this place around over the last 3 or 4 years. Friendy, orders are right, prices good and most importantly, food is excellent (well, chili is a little too much on the sweet side). With so few places to get beef and hot dogs, and none this side of Sycamore, this place should be your go-to.

I have an obsession with gyros and I’ve been wanting to try there’s for awhile now, finally was able to today. My gf got the Italian beef baked with mozzarella and I of course got the monster gyro. By no means did the gyro taste bad, but it’s probably the second worse gyro I e ever had, the worst was a Greek place in lisle on maple and 53, there’s was inedible. Back to Tom and Jerry’s though, the sauce was nothing special and the gyro meat seemed like a lesser grade, the after taste burps were gross. I thought the Italian beef was ok, seemed more like lunch then it did Italian beef, my girlfriend didn’t like it at all. As far as the fries go, I could tell just by how they looked, they weren’t gonna be very good. It’s hard to find a gyro place that has really good fries as well though, so can’t knock them for that. Unless they decide to switch to a higher grade gyro meat that’s 100% beef instead of the beef lamb mix, i will never be going back there again, low quality food over priced.

Every time I order from there, mine is great and my husband's has something wrong with it. UNTIL I ordered on my birthday this week. The Italian beef was okay, but the role was stale. I asked for it to be dipped and it wasn't. Luckily I ordered extra juice. I LOVE their onion rings. UNTIL on my birthday I got burnt onion rings hard as a rock totally inedible! My husband and daughter both ordered Ruebens. You know a Rueben sandwich has Corned beef or Turkey in my husband's case; Sauerkraut - NO sauerkraut; Swiss cheese - some kind of cheese sauce?; Russian dressing - NO russian dressing; and it's on RYE bread - NO think it was white bread grilled. My husband is from New york so this was like an insult. If you can't make a real Rueben -- take it off the menu. I'll definitely think twice about ordering from there again. It's a shame.
