The food tasted okay, but nothing special. The restaurant looked unkempt with missing tiles and dirty caulking around it. If they can’t even keep the bathrooms clean and presentable for customers, I can’t imagine the kitchen is much cleaner. Wouldn’t eat here

I have visited this place several times, we have always found the breakfasts delicious, but this time it seems to us that the quality has gone down a bit. And the coffee ☕️ terrible. I think that if it has been chosen as the best breakfast place in the north of Chicago, the quality of the products cannot be lowered.

When I entered, they welcomed me well and the girl was kind, organizing everything well. Before the food arrived I finished my drinks (delicious fresh juices) and brought the empty glasses to the edge of the table so when my food arrived the waiter would pick them up, he never took them away, they didn't offer us water, no napkins. Which isn't so bad. But when our food arrived it was not so pleasant, we were about to leave at the first spoonful. Both omelets were overcooked with the egg as you can see in the photo, the flavor of the meat in the omelet was not as fresh. In short, we did not have a good experience as the Best breakfast place in northern Illinois.

This was a surprised find. We were driving by and said we wanted to try Andy's. It was fantastic, the restaurant was cozy, clean, Food was OMG GOOD, & there was only 1 waitress who was excellent. She handled 4 tables (one with small children), the counter AND take out orders. Amazing!! Very professional & attentive to all of her diners All of our (3 diners) food arrived hot, coffee w/ creamer refilled along with our water. DOUBLE THUMBS UP!! We will be back & bring others with us????Vegetarian options: I had the vegetarian omelet w/potatoes & texas toast. The inside of the omelet was not dry or over cooked,Parking: We were in front of Andy'sKid-friendliness: The waitress assisted two families who had small ones. She immediately brought high chairs, extra napkins and showed the parents where the children's menu was. She spoke to the little ones whatever was said the children goggled this allowed the parents time to look over the menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Enough space so that a wheelchair individual would be able to move around.

Andy's is known as the best breakfast in northwest Illinois, and I whole heartedly agree. Amazing food. Amazing service. Shoutout Joseph, our server, who provided us with his excellence. This man deserves a raise. He made our experience joyous, and I left feeling satisfied. When I say that I left with the biggest smile on a face, I mean it. If you're in Des Plaines, PLEASE stop in and support this business. And say hello to Joseph if he is working, such a pleasant dude. #givethismanaraise

If there was a way to give six stars for service, I would. The owner and staff regularly check in to see if everything is ok, if you need anything else, etc. the vibe is like going to a family’s home for a meal. The food is also excellent, and their homemade salsas are fantastic. I would have asked for a straw to drink the green sauce if it was socially acceptable.

I had a somewhat disappointing experience. The food quality was mediocre, and the coffee failed to meet expectations. During my breakfast visit, the service was notably lacking; no one offered to refill my coffee, and communication with the staff was challenging. Additionally, the lack of friendly interaction, as no one smiled or engaged warmly, further diminished my dining experience.

I wanted a delicious breakfast for lunch, so I looked about and located this eatery. Their menu is rather inviting, featuring a lot of classic American breakfast dishes with a hint of Mexican cuisine.I ordered their Andy's stuffed toast and I paid extra $4 to have it as a combo meal, which included two eggs and two bacon or sausage links. The toast has a pleasant crispness to it in addition to being fluffy. Their handmade cream sauce is the filler in between the toasts. It smelled like citrus and was moderately sweet. A rich, sweet strawberry sauce covered the toast. Because of their tart flavor, the strawberries weren't ripe.As requested, the eggs were made in a scrambled style. The eggs were moist and airy when scrambled. Lucky, there was black pepper and salt on the table because the eggs were not seasoned. The bacon had a flavorful and fatty texture, although I would have preferred it to be more crispy. They executed a basic dish of bacon and eggs quite well.I ordered their cookies and cream milkshake, which came in a glass mason jar to display the large Oreo cookie, crushed Oreos, and whipped cream. Although the look is quite tempting, which is why I initially ordered it, the taste was not up to par.

Parking: Minimal but review is about service.Very cold inside. Ordered just coffee because of temperature inside restaurant, server never returned to give more than first cup. Charging $3.86 for one small cup is not good. Also host welcomed and wished others a Merry Christmas but not us as we left. Still hungry we went down the street and enjoyed breakfast...
