This place has continually been going downhill over the years. Sorry, Dimitri (Jimmy) passed. Now his wife (owner) is running it, very unfriendly, and never smiles. She waits on tables and only wants your tips. I believe you are not required to tip owners or managers since their means of income is a salary. Over priced only ok food. I will not go back

Food was very good. I had the lemon chicken as a take-out order. I ordered by phone and it was ready in ten minutes. The new owner, Jimmy's son, is getting acquainted with the menu so wasn't super helpful with my questions but that's to be expected. He also wasn't as readily available as his dad was when I arrived but that too may come in time. I hope the family keeps it open as it's a staple in Des Plaines. Rest in peace Jimmy.

Our hockey team manager called about 3 weeks ahead of today to make a reservation. We gave them a time and asked if they were able to accommodate our kids and families on the team (11 kids and about 17 parent). Of course they said yes we could. Fast forward to today and OMG what a shit show this place was. There were no other customers in the place when we walked in but it still took over an hour for all of us to get served. First issue was that each person, including children, had to have separate checks, which was completely inefficient. There were some mishaps like the waitress spilling liver and onion juice on one of the parents' backs but the most disappointing issue was that the waitress was very rude and commented to one of the parents that the tip was not enough! Who does that when we were spending hundreds of dollars collectively with our team?! Oh and the owners kid was sitting in the first booth with a friend just hanging out. Decided to help once and delivered 3 waters randomly. We had to ask him to remove some of the empty bottles and dirty plates. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT!

I just left this place with my friend. The waitress had an attitude when I asked her about the menu. I had to call her to get some more coffee, and the worse was she kept my friend's change and never came back. The worse service ever!!! No wonder it's so empty. Doesn't even deserve one star.

We ordered takeout tonight, my first time there, and we love it. Chicken dumpling soup is so tasty, soup warming. All the food was clearly made with love. We will be back! We should support neighborhood places like this with honest food at good prices.

The food was good, great if you factor it the cheap price. The prices are good. The parking lot is big with a lot of room. The restaurant is spacious with a lot of room between the tables. The menu is pretty huge.
