Great food but incredible loud! Music was too loud, and people had to yell across the tables to talk to each other. We couldn't hear each other at our own table! The other issue is with parking. There is not enough space for cars around the restaurant.

Bad Food and Not Worth it!!! I have not had this bad a meal in a long time. This is really bad.1st - this is not Greek food this is Greek-ish food. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! If I could give 0 stars I would.2nd - this is not very good food NOT GOOD FOOD everything was so over salted it was hard to taste not good at all and not even close to comparable food in the area.3rd - this is so overly priced for what you get it's unreal.I can go over every dish we ordered from the horta to the octopothi to how awful the skordalia was. How does avogolemono not have any lemon juice and just curdled milk on top???The management didn't come over to speak about what was wrong. We complained right from the start and they never sent a manager over. Just our bill full priced even tho we didn't eat half of the 12 plates we ordered.If you want actual Greek food that is worth what you pay for DO NOT GO HERE!!!I am Greek and grew up in Glenview. This place is a complete joke. No Greeks actually go here cause it's so bad and such a scam!Go to Psistaria on Touhy or Mykonos down the street as those are actual Greek restaurants and worth the $ you pay for.This place is not good at all.... I always try to be tolerant in all cases in the service, I am never rude, so the situation in this restaurant was like this. There was a reservation, we were 5 minutes late, approaching the host, she said wait, we say we are always waiting, we come for a reservation, to which she replied, - you should be Everyone, to seat! And than she said - you were late, you should have been on time! and if we like food, wait, if no- then leave! And her last words were - this is business! what kind of service is this??? she doesn't know how to communicate with customer?? we were frustrated. will never come again... this is so upset about service. The host is a "face" of restaurant.

The space itself looks nice and the outdoor patio is a good spot to hang with friends. The meals are a bit on the the expensive side and nothing spectacular. I prefer Mykonos in the area. The service is not super friendly, but I don't think they're aiming for that. They get the food to you and leave you alone. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Not sure what happened to this place, but it used to be so much better than it currently is. I've never had worse quality chicken. I was actually blown away by how bad it was. Really disappointing because the dine-in experience here was really great 5 years ago.

We dined at Plateia for the first time tonight. The food is absolutely fantastic. We had the feta and honey appetizer along with tzatziki and fresh warm pita. For our main course, I had the yogurt chicken and oven potatoes which were delicious. My husband had the pastitcio which he enjoyed. Service was great, too! By the way, while waiting did our table, we observed a screaming woman who was upset that she had not been seated yet. She was incredibly rude to the hostesses and left in a huff. She threatened to leave nasty reviews on Yelp, calling the restaurant "trash". Make no mistake... she was the trashy one. If she leaves a review here, ignore it!
