The food is very good with a selection for every palate. The Downers Grove location is a test kitchen with a separate menu card for potential new menu choices that you can order and try. Service is knowledgeable, personable, and caring. Wine is the maybe even more a feature than the food, and if wine is your thing, you will be there often, maybe going just for the wine selections. The atmosphere is a bit bright and noisy, so no intimate dining here, but so what.
I Made Reservations For 9pm last night. When i arrived at the restaurant there was a hold up because the young women at the desk said they closed at 9 and she needed to get a manager to help me?! I didn’t get it so i waited only for her to come back and then seat me as if nothing happened. I got an older white woman for my waitress who was not so pleasant, I Felt Rushed so I Placed My Order, My Food Came Out In 10 Minutes or Less Which I Thought Was Strange. I Ate Only a Small Portion Of The Food Due To It Not Tasting Good At All and Now I Have Been At The Double Tree Throwing Up All Night and I’m So Disappointed With This Location and Service and I Will Be Getting Checked For Food Poisoning.

This place is so delicious!I have no words, how amazing our dinner was! Chicken, Tuna, Grouper - just wow! wow! wow!And my favourite Rosé, nicely chilled?Another point to highlight - is how they handle allergies and help pick what to order around that. ONE LOVE!
The servers are friendly and very interested in helping to navigate the food menu and wine menu. The food was definitely done well (absolutely no complaints about the choices of food and flavors). If one is educated in wine, then one will be a bit disappointed in what is offered. Fortunately, they give you a sample before you commit to a wine choice. Bravo! And the two wines I sampled (dark reds) were acceptable. But there in lies the problem,...There are no great wines there. One will not taste a wine there and make a declaration that it was a life changing experience. However, if one enjoys a simple wine, one will be satisfied there. I thought my cappuccino was weak. I might dine there again, but I will lessen my expectations so as not to be disappointed. All that said, the staff seemed very nice.

It took 2 hrs to get our food. Once received it high quality. I have been to the Cooper's Hawk in Springfield over a dozens times and was totally satisfied. This time not so much. They did offer us a $25 credit which was appreciated. I may not visit this location again busy or not.Parking: Hard to find an available slot.Kid-friendliness: Ok for kidsWheelchair accessibility: Totally accessible.

Hands down one of the best tasting experiences I've ever enjoyed! Outstanding service from a server who really knows her wine! Really cool vibe and impeccably clean!Wheelchair accessibility: Zero entry at the front. Extremely wide double doors, very easy to navigate a wheelchair or electric convenience vehicle.

Heather was fantastic! We will be back just because of her! Thank you heather!!
Our food was great, yet our server was belligerent and basically ignored us as much as possible. We asked if we could taste the wine of the month before committing to what we wanted to drink for the evening. When said we did not want to order an appetizer right away, she the proceeded to ask if we wanted to order our entree. At this point we did not have a glass of wine yet, any water or bread. When I asked how many bottles of wine or tastings that I had on my membership account, she said that she had not looked at my account yet. This server wanted to just get us out of there and did not care. Meanwhile all the tables surrounding us were getting usual Coopers Hawk service and were fawned over by their respective servers. I ordered a cup of soup which seemed to take excessively long to get served; then our entrees came after I had about 3 sips of my soup. I wanted to seek out a restaurant manager, yet my husband did not want me to appear to be a Karen. I just knew our service was not typical. While we were eating, a table of women came in who were of the same ethnicity as our server. Guess what? Our server not only brought them samples of the wine of the month, they each received 2 samples! Glad to see others enjoyed typical Coopers Hawk experience. We’ve been enjoying Coopers Hawk for many years, this was a first time of horrible experience.

Excellent meal as always, although the chimichurri steak was a little smaller than usual. Got in before the Friday night rush at 5:00 p.m. ;)
Wonderful experience service was excellent! 4 stars for the food only because the Salmon was under-seared and the crispy Brussels sprouts were over-seared.Dietary restrictions: They were very willing to accommodate food allergies
Great wine and food. Wife broke ankle recently and upon our visit the staff took notice and were helpful. Wine and crutches can be perilous for some, but she pushed through like a champ.
