Great Coffee and pastry here!!! Waited in line several times to order take out. They work quickly and the wait time was worth it and not too much. Great place I'm Lisle!

Popped in after work on a whim.. best latte I have had in awhile.. although they were close to closing, staff was friendly and accommodating, and didn't rush me. Looking forward to another visit

Good coffee. Space very small and was not conducive to hanging out. My breakfast was ok not great.

Mud and Char is family owned! They have a gorgeous selection of teas- and they have little vials with a cork top that you can smell! The double chocolate smells like a bakery! They also have their own coffee from a local company - I had to grab a bag! Their scones and homemade pop tarts are divine! There's plenty of parking but not too much space inside. In the summer, they always have tables outside too!

Mud and Char is my go-to local coffee shop! Their food is made with fresh ingredients, and their coffee is always delicious with a good rotation of seasonal specialty drinks. Best of all, their staff is incredibly friendly, fast, and puts care into each order they prepare. I can't recommend going to Mud and Char highly enough!

I make way better coffee and matcha at home. I don’t understand how they have 4.7 stars. Don’t waste your money, it’s horrible.

The bagels taste like grocery store bought I was so disappointed- if you want fresh bagels go elsewhere

This was my first time coming here, and I’m glad I came. I had the Lavender Dreams iced latte, and it was delicious! The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. I’ll be coming back for sure!

I've been to this location twice now. First time the barista was a bit standoffish when I was ordering. Second time, I ordered a latte and a bagel with plain cream cheese. The latte wasn't filled all the way and they didn't put the cream cheese on my bagel. A bit disappointing.

I pretty much only drink cold brew but this place managed to win me over with their lattes. Usually hit this place up before heading to the highway but 4 Lakes being a few miles down Maple makes this a go-to every time I go snowboarding. Can't recommend this place enoughedit: not sure what is going on with this place at the moment but I the past few times I've gone (Fridays and Wednesday mornings), the Con Panna's and Macchiato's have been unfinishable. Either the espresso tastes burnt or the drinks have way too much milk compared to what is listed on the menu. I love this place dearly so I'll continue to support but if the smaller beverages are going to be this way going forward, I will probably avoid.edit edit: Coffee continues to be delicious. Maybe the staff were just having a bad day. Maybe I judged too harshly and suck. Either case, the new baked goods are INCREDIBLE. I got a croissant for my toddlers to split and a spinach & feta croissant for myself. I just...it's incredible, it was all so good. My wife is going to be pissed once she finds out we got stuff without her but no worries. We can always go again tomorrow which we probably will.

Cute little coffee shop with some seating. I ordered a medium latte and the coffee was just okay. I would have loved to pair it with a baked good sadly their pastry case was completely empty! I will try to stop by another time to try out some breakfast items.

Had coffee with a friend. Solid place and has slight room for improvement.

Great place to meet with a friend- there were only three tables, 2 seats each and a bar style wrap along the wall with high seats, so be forewarned if you are coming with multiple people, you may not have a seat but don't let that deter you. It's a very cute place, cozy, the coffee was very nice, they had a great menu, much more than I expected. I would def go again if I'm in the area! It's about 5 mins away from Lisle train station. Parking was very ample.

I was a regular at starbucks. I wanted to try this place after boycotting Starbucks. First try I found their coffees over-roasted with a bitter taste. I went back to try again but it was no better, unfortunately. I want to support these local coffee shops but they need to do a better job with their coffee. Their bakery selection can use some improvement as well.
