Ordered a banana cupcake cake for my sons 2 year old birthday party. Chef Nikki was very nice to help me move my pick up time due to my sons chaotic and unpredictable schedule. The cake was cute and had "two wild" inserts to go with his birthday theme. Her banana cupcakes are my favorite because there is a banana filling in the middle. It also doesn't taste overwhelmingly like banana. It's the perfect ratio! She is also very reasonably priced! Highly recommend for birthday parties or any sort of party!

This women-owned biz is sure to hit your sweet tooth spot - Chef Nikki does such a good job of making sure of that!I've ordered cupcakes from Scratch My Batch twice now. No guest has ever uttered anything besides "these are the best cupcakes I've ever had" or "these cupcakes are freaking delicious", and they're all correct! I've ordered the mini delight and these small cupcakes are the perfect bite size. I'm usually not a vanilla gal but the vanilla cupcakes were to DIE for and had so much flavor for your standard ole' vanilla flavor. The chocolate ones were, well, chocolatey and delicious! You can tell immediately without knowing where these cupcakes are from that they are not store bought. The actual cake is so fluffy and light, and the frosting was velvety and smooth. Chef Nikki is beyond personable, talented, and truly such a kind person, she will make sure all your baking needs are met.Highly recommend this place if you're ever looking to cater some sweet desserts for any event or party you're throwing!

Most importantly, my wife thought it was the perfect birthday cake! Things I loved about the experience:*Chef Nikki went out of her way to work with me and make sure we could work together to create the perfect birthday cake*The cake itself looked like it was going to be ultra rich and sweet, but it was so light with the perfect amount of sweetness. We LOVED working with Chef Nikki for our wedding! It was super important for us to support locally-owned, BIPOC businesses and once we tried Nikki's creations it was an EASY yes. You can tell she absolutely loves what she does and we loved her tasty treats (and the artful way she arranged them-pics to come) on our wedding day. The only negative was that I couldn't have more dessert due to running around and being stuffed into a wedding dress. But I KNOW we'll definitely be seeking out more treats in the future! We tried a variety - some mini chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, as well as a dozen of the fall flavors! I did not meet one I didn't love. The salted caramel pecan was to die for! But not only can I rave about the delicious menu she offers, it's Chef Nikki herself that will bring us back their way for our next occasion. She went above and beyond for us! Excellent customer service beginning to end, from the prompt and easy email communication, to helping me solve last minute party issues. What a great team of people she has working with her, and what a wonderful local business that Downers Grove has! Very, very pleased!
